S Club 7 star Jon Lee splits from his boyfriend just six months after meeting on Celebs Go Dating

Jon Lee, a member of the band S Club 7, has ended his relationship with his boyfriend after only six months together. They first met while filming the reality TV show, Celebs Go Dating.

The 43-year-old singer and hairdresser Jordan Fairhurst connected immediately on the E4 show, which was filmed earlier this year.

Once they finished working together, they started a long-distance relationship because Jon lives in Cornwall and Jordan lives in Merseyside.

According to a source, Jon and Jordan grew apart due to the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship, as their busy schedules and constant travel made it too difficult.

‘There’s no bad blood at all between them, it was a joint decision.’

The couple have since unfollowed one another on social media, reports the publication.

A representative for Jon has been contacted for comment by The Daily Mail.

The breakup happened shortly after he publicly announced they would be celebrating Christmas together, telling Ok! Magazine that Jordan would be joining him in Cornwall for a traditional family Christmas.

It’ll be the first time I’ve had a boyfriend at home for Christmas, actually.’

Jordan was Jon’s first partner in six years, and he revealed on the show Celebs Go Dating that he hadn’t been intimate with anyone for that long.

As he dipped his toes back into the dating game, Jon confessed to the shocking revelation.

Okay, so right at the start of his video, he just casually dropped that he’s been single for six years! And get this – six years of absolutely no dating, no anything! He actually said he’s been celibate the whole time. I honestly didn’t see that coming, and now I’m completely obsessed with knowing more!

He described his ideal partner as someone a little rugged, but generally quiet, kind, and enjoyable to be around.

Jon recently told The Daily Mail that his time on Celebs Go Dating came after a string of difficult dating experiences that almost made him give up on love altogether.

He explained that after his previous relationship ended, he decided he didn’t want to date anyone for a while. He really needed a break from it.

Honestly, I thought I had it all figured out being single. Six years, and I was genuinely, truly happy on my own. I really believed that was enough for me.

It was a really difficult experience, and I honestly didn’t want to repeat it. Coming back to do this took a lot of courage for me.

‘My mate said, ‘If you don’t do this, you’re going to end up single forever’.’

A pep talk from a friend gave him the confidence to make one final effort at finding love on Celebs Go Dating.

‘It was sort of like… what can really go wrong? So, I thought I might as well give it one last hurrah’, Jon explained.

Getting to the point where he felt ready to look for love again took a lot of work.

The musician recently shared his struggles with addiction for the first time in an interview with the Daily Mail. He revealed the addiction almost cost him his life and significantly impacted many years of his adulthood.

Jon began his career as a child performer in London’s West End at age 12. Just four years later, at 16, he was chosen from a large group of applicants to join the popular band S Club 7.

During his time as a pop star, he’d experimented with less harmful drugs and openly shared that he used alcohol to cope with the pressures of maintaining a certain image.

It’s so tragic, honestly. Everyone thinks of him as this huge pop star, but it wasn’t until much later, when he was trying to make it on stage, that he even encountered crystal meth. It feels like his earlier success just faded, and then… that’s when things started to go wrong. It’s just heartbreaking to think about.

He experienced a mental health crisis that led to him being hospitalized after his neighbors contacted the police. He also attempted suicide by intentionally taking a dangerous overdose of GHB.

The musician explained how bad it got at one point: ‘I didn’t even recognise myself at that time.

During my psychotic episodes, when I was sometimes destroying my apartment with a hammer, I’d occasionally see my reflection and be shocked, thinking, ‘What the heck is going on?’

I would sometimes have a clear moment where I’d think about my life: I was young and doing well, with a promising career and a good life. Then I’d wonder what I was even doing with it all.

Jon has fully recovered, thanks to the support of his three rescue dogs and a move to Cornwall where he now lives near his mother, sister, and nieces.

Jon had shared his true self with family and close friends for a while, but he didn’t publicly come out until after S Club disbanded in 2010.
