eFootball 2026 kick starts December 2025 with FIFAe World Cup Campaign with new events, player packs, and more

With the release of update v5.2.0, eFootball 2026 is getting ready for the FIFAe World Cup 25! The update includes a big in-game campaign with daily free player signings, an updated Campaign Hub, a new Squad Challenge mode, and lots of special rewards.

In addition to the main event, KONAMI is celebrating with a Flamengo campaign and has released new Epic and Show Time cards. Here’s a quick look at everything included in the FIFAe World Cup 25 Campaign.

FIFAe World Cup 25 Campaign

I’m so hyped for this update! It’s kicking things off with a FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign to celebrate the esports competition happening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, starting December 10th, 2025. And it’s not just about the event itself – from December 4th to 18th, 2025, we’re getting a free Manager, up to 150 coins, a free Show Time opportunity, and a bunch of other cool in-game items! It’s going to be awesome.

The Campaign Hub is back with a fresh system! Now, you’ll earn points by playing online matches or against the AI, and you can use those points to claim rewards. Practice matches, exhibition games, and Skill Up drills won’t give you points, but the good news is you’ll be able to earn more points each week as the event goes on.

You can earn Gennaro Gattuso as a reward in the Campaign Hub. He’s a strong manager with 89 proficiency in the Out Wide formation, and excels at Diagonal Long Passes and Link-up Play. He’s a great free option for your team.

During this promotion, you can get one free Show Time player each day. Once you claim it, that daily reward will remain available for the entire duration of the event, even if other rewards reset. The event began with player Michael Olise, and more players will be added soon.

A new game mode called Team Effort (previously Squad Challenge) is now available. Winning matches earns you rewards like booster tokens, skill tokens, and GP, but each player who participates in a win can’t play in the next match.

CAF and eFootball Partnership

KONAMI and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have partnered to bring African football to the eFootball video game. This means players can expect to see content related to the Africa Cup of Nations, as well as updates featuring African national teams and tournaments. The game will reflect the upcoming tournament, which begins December 11th.

CR Flamengo Winner Campaign

Okay, so Flamengo just won the championship, and eFootball is doing a little event to celebrate! I logged in and got a free chance at a Highlight player, which is awesome. They’re also letting me earn two more just by playing a few VS AI matches. Plus, all the Flamengo players in the game are getting a temporary boost to their stats – a Live Update Rating A! Pretty cool way to celebrate with the fans, if I do say so myself.

New Manager and Packs

As I detailed in my version 5.2.0 article, the Koeman player card will be available for 750 coins. He has a proficiency of 89 in the ‘Out Wide’ playstyle and 88 in the ‘Possession Game’. His preferred Link-Up style is Aggressive Centering A.

The game now features two new Epic players, David Beckham and Jan Koller, plus special Show Time versions of Pedro Neto and Hugo Ekitike. Beckham and Koller have enhanced Show Time abilities as a crosser and striker, making them strong choices for your team.
