KONAMI is releasing a major new update, v5.2.0, for eFootball 2026. This update significantly improves the game with expanded campaigns, new features, gameplay tweaks, and various quality-of-life enhancements. Here’s a breakdown of everything included.
eFootball 2026 v5.2.0 update overview: All campaigns and new features explained
Campaigns and Events Overview
The December event schedule is packed, and several campaign types overlap throughout the month.
FIFAe World Cup 25 campaign
I’m so hyped for the FIFAe World Cup 25 stuff! It’s kicking things off with a ton of cool new content. Basically, we’re getting special player lists, guaranteed Show Time players, and this awesome temporary Campaign Hub that’s like a shop. We can earn currency through the event and trade it in for things like new players, managers, boosters, and everything else we need to build our dream team.
African Cup of Nations campaign
The Africa Cup of Nations tournament is happening now, showcasing top players like Salah, Mané, and Osimhen. You can also earn a special, powerful version of the legendary player El‑Hadji Diouf by completing challenges in the game.

Festive Season campaigns
A special holiday event starts on December 18th, introducing the popular Epic Oliver Kahn player, featuring his new ‘Spirit Roar’ goalkeeper skill, and a range of festive-themed items.
I’m so excited! They’re kicking off the CONNECT 30th Anniversary Campaign, and we, as players, get to suggest ideas for future Nominating Contracts – how cool is that? Plus, they’re planning more special player lists featuring the Brazilian League, and they’re going to release a bunch of new legends over time to celebrate! It’s going to be awesome.
New Event Types
In addition to the ongoing promotions, we’re adding two new event types. Starting on December 4, 2025, one event will prevent you from using the same players repeatedly. This means you’ll need to switch up your team instead of always using your favorite starting eleven.
On December 18, 2025, the Tour Rally event begins! You’ll earn points by achieving in-game goals like scoring, winning headers, or succeeding in one-on-one battles.
Match Analysis Feature
We’ve added a new system to help you analyze your gameplay. It looks at your last ten player-versus-player (PvP) matches and shows you charts detailing your style – for example, how frequently you dash, use finesse dribbling, or play defensively.

The system also monitors how well you play defense, including things like quickly challenging opponents, staying with your assigned players, and generally moving effectively. It’s neat that you can see how your defensive style compares to players in other leagues. Plus, the fact that it only looks at your last ten games gives you a good, recent focus for making improvements.
Real‑Time Advice and Expanded AI‑Control
The game now watches what commands you give during matches and will offer advice or commentary from players and managers. At halftime and after the game, you’ll also receive more in-depth tips, complete with helpful visuals. It’s currently unclear if you can disable these suggestions.
The game now lets you customize how much control the AI has during gameplay. You can assign the AI to handle difficult tasks and then step in yourself when precision is key, according to the developers.
The system for creating boosters has been significantly improved! Now you can craft twelve new types of boosters, including ones focused on Accuracy, Regista skills, and Ball Protection. Random Booster Tokens are also better – they now offer a wider variety of fifteen different boosters, chosen based on the player’s position.
New Managers: Ronald Koeman and Gennaro Gattuso
Ronald Koeman is joining as a new manager, having previously played for the team. He’s bringing a new strategy called Aggressive Centring A, and his manager pack includes two star players and a custom 3D model.
A new player pack is on its way, featuring David Beckham and Koller, designed to complement the game’s updated tactics. Gennaro Gattuso joins as a new manager option for the FIFAe World Cup 25 season, and details about his unique style of play are currently being kept secret.
Gameplay Adjustments
This update improves how through balls work in the game. Konami has adjusted the defending AI to make these passes more realistic. Faster players won’t have as much of an advantage, stamina drains less quickly when sprinting, and defenders now react more realistically to a player’s speed.
New Goal Celebrations
We’ve added some new ways to celebrate great plays! You’ll automatically see a special animation if you score a fantastic long-distance goal or finish a chance with a perfect first-time shot. These celebrations happen automatically when certain conditions are met.
