Robert Irwin has responded to rumors that his mother, Terri Irwin, might be joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars.
The Wildlife Warrior and dance partner Witney Carson won the US edition of the series last week.
Terri made a special appearance on the show, sharing a heartwarming dance with her son.
Robert revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that he launched a petition to get his mother on Dancing With the Stars.
He explained that she began the season by making it clear she wasn’t interested and wouldn’t participate, stating firmly that it just wasn’t for her.
I decided to keep trying to convince her, hoping she’d eventually agree, because I really think she’d be a great fit.

The season concluded with Robert and Witney winning against a strong group of competitors, including social media personality Alix Earle, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, actress Elaine Hendrix, and Dylan Efron, brother of actor Zac Efron.
The competition was incredibly close! Robert and Witney ended the night in a tie for second place with Jordan Chiles, both scoring 89 points – just one point behind Alix Earle’s leading score of 90.
The couple everyone was rooting for won, earning the most votes from both the judges and the public.
This follows Terri revealing a personal story about her family on the recent episode of The Apple and The Tree podcast.
Terri Irwin, 61, Steve Irwin’s widow, says she has a standing agreement with her children, Robert, 22, and Bindi, 27, to always check with them before posting anything online.
Terri, who identifies as a baby boomer, says she asks her children to review her online posts to avoid making embarrassing errors.
‘As a family, we still bounce off each other with everything,’ she explained to podcast hosts Richard Wilkins and his son, Christian.
She explained that they always show each other social media posts before sharing them, just in case one of them overlooked something silly.

Sometimes, being older, I accidentally say or do things that aren’t considered acceptable by younger generations. They might point out something like, “That hand gesture looks like a gang sign!” and I’ll just say I wasn’t aware of that.
Terri shared that she appreciates when her children still come to her for advice and opinions, saying it’s a really good feeling.
A mother recently faced criticism after posting a sweet photo of her son, which led to many admiring and flirtatious comments from female fans.
She posted a picture of the TV host in October, celebrating Robert’s achievements on the US version of Dancing with the Stars.
She shared that the activewear – branded by Australia Zoo – was great for workouts, dance practice, or just looking stylish, while promoting the outfit he was wearing.
Robert’s fans quickly swamped the comments with compliments for the Wildlife Warrior.
Okay, so someone nailed it online. They said it feels like… like this incredibly attractive, but totally unattainable, distant relative. And it’s not just any relative, it’s someone whose father basically shaped all of our childhoods – he was responsible for bringing so much joy to millions of us! It’s… it’s a weirdly intense feeling, honestly. I can’t stop thinking about it!
Someone complimented him on his good looks and said his parents must be very proud. Another person commented that he looked great in his workout clothes!
