Guy Fieri announces new Food Network show after unveiling shock transformation

Despite a recent serious injury while filming, Guy Fieri has revealed he’s launching a new show on Food Network.

The actor, 58, recently surprised fans with a dramatic new look. He first appeared on the network back in 2006.

He became known for hosting popular shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and also currently hosts Guy’s Grocery Games.

Oh my gosh, you guys, the Food Network just announced it – Guy Fieri is doing a new competition show! It’s called ‘Flavortown Food Fight’ and it’s coming out March 4th! I literally screamed when I heard. It’s going to be epic, I just know it! I’ve already marked my calendar!

Filming was temporarily stopped last year when the TV star had a fall on set, injuring his thigh muscle and requiring surgery.

Each episode will feature three chefs demonstrating their talents at various restaurants, from upscale establishments to casual street food vendors.

Chefs featured on the show will compete for a grand prize of up to $20,000. The winning chef will then come back the following week to face off against two new competitors.

The chefs will compete in three rounds of skill-based and cooking challenges for a prize, but only one will win.

Each episode of the show will begin with Guy Fieri announcing the episode’s theme. His son, Hunter, age 29, will also be on hand to give the chefs their cooking challenge menus.

Two guest judges will be visiting the show to taste the chefs’ dishes and help decide who will advance in the competition.

Guy Fieri announced that for the first time ever on TV, he’s opening up ‘Flavortown’ to feature amazing chefs and unique restaurants you won’t find anywhere else, according to People magazine.

I’ve been following this project for years, and it’s incredible to finally be able to experience everything the creators have been building! They’re clearly thrilled to finally share their world with all of us, and honestly, so am I!

The announcement revealed that the legendary Flavortown, often talked about but never actually shown, will be the location for this exciting, multi-stage cooking contest.

The term “Flavortown” was first used by Guy Fieri on his show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The celebrity chef started following his dream of cooking by opening restaurants in the 1990s.

Oh my gosh, when he won The Next Food Network Star in 2006, I nearly lost it! It was amazing, and it meant we finally got Guy’s Big Bite later that year – I’ve been watching ever since, of course! It was a dream come true, seriously.

In 2013, Guy Fieri started the cooking competition show Guy’s Grocery Games, which is still running with new episodes today.

Over the years, he’s also been featured on other Food Network shows, including Ace of Cakes, Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-off, and Tournament of Champions.

The TV personality just announced his new show, not long after it became public in November that he’d been hospitalized due to an on-set accident while filming Flavortown Food Fight.

The star needed surgery after her tore his quad muscle due to him missing a set of stairs.

He explained to Fox News Digital that he fell down some steps when one foot slid forward and the other got stuck on the edge of a doorway, causing him to stretch out.

It looked like I was doing the splits, but my leg buckled in a way that immediately showed something was seriously wrong. The doctor, who’s been practicing for twenty years, said he’d never seen a quad tear happen in that specific, thickest part of the muscle before.

Okay, so things took a bit of a turn recently. I unfortunately had an injury, and honestly, it really wasn’t fun. I’m going to need to use a wheelchair for about eight weeks while I recover, but I’m staying positive and focusing on getting back on my feet!

And earlier this month, the TV personality offered a health update during an interview with People.

He said he was recovering and admitted the accident was the most difficult experience of the past two decades.

The holiday was tough, but it really made me grateful for being able to move and do everyday things again.

Fieri shared that he enjoys being active, but hasn’t been able to exercise while recovering.

I usually love CrossFit and hiking, so being unable to do either for the past eight weeks has been really frustrating. I’m eager to get back to it, but I’m also trying to be patient and not overdo things.

To celebrate his 58th birthday last week, Guy Fieri shared a video on Instagram that revealed a surprising new look, catching many fans off guard.

The video was created using artificial intelligence and featured the Food Network star with a different look: instead of his signature bleached, spiky hair, he had combed, darker hair.

He chose a button-up shirt and khaki pants, a surprisingly formal outfit for someone who usually dresses casually.

Fieri hinted that this makeover is also connected to a future campaign for Super Bowl LXI.

He often refers to a second persona he calls ‘Just A Guy,’ and fans will get a glimpse of this side of him in a new Bosch commercial that will air during the Super Bowl on February 8th.
