Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power breaks her silence after being linked to scandal-hit Love Island bad boy at adult expo

Jessika Power has had to address speculation about a possible romance with Cooper Benson from Love Island Australia, after photos of them together sparked the rumors.

The former Married at First Sight contestant used Instagram to address rumors sparked by a photo of her with Cooper at a Brisbane adult entertainment event, SXhibition, over the weekend.

Jessika admitted she was baffled to be addressing gossip so early in the week.

She expressed her frustration to fans, saying she didn’t want to have to deal with rumors and articles so early on a Monday morning – especially after already having a difficult day.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! There are articles popping up everywhere because, get this, a guy from Love Island posted a picture of me! It was nothing major, honestly – we just snapped a pic on the media wall, like I did with a ton of other people. I mean, I took photos with so many other contestants, both guys and girls, it was just part of the event! But apparently, this one is a big deal because it’s him? I’m so excited and a little freaked out all at the same time!

Jessika stressed there was nothing romantic between them.

She was surprised to hear people think they were dating, explaining she’d put those kinds of rumors behind her a long time ago. She simply said he was a pleasant person and she had a good time getting to know him.

‘You guys only saw a little bit of him on television. No, there is nothing going on there. He is just someone that was there. We took a picture together. That is all it is.’

SXhibition, which took place from November 28th to 30th, was advertised as the premier adult entertainment and lifestyle show in the country, focusing on themes of empowerment, self-expression, and enjoyment.

Cooper’s presence at the event certainly raised eyebrows.

Just over a month ago, he admitted to assaulting two men while intoxicated at a karaoke bar on the Gold Coast. He appeared in Southport Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to the charges stemming from the March incident.

He pleaded guilty to assault causing injury, a lesser charge of assault, and driving a car without a required breathalyzer device.

In court, it was revealed that Benson got into a fight after a man touched the shoulder of someone he was with.

Security camera footage revealed Benson pushing a 29-year-old man, then hitting him several times, causing the victim to fall into a karaoke machine screen. The situation worsened, and Benson then hit another man.

One person was hurt, breaking a tooth and suffering several facial injuries. Customers at the bar stepped in and escorted Benson away.

Officers had difficulty locating the aspiring reality TV contestant, but finally arrested him in early May after stopping his black Mercedes.

Benson received a 15-month probation period instead of a criminal record, and was required to provide financial compensation to the people he harmed.

In addition to other penalties, he received a fine for the traffic violation and lost his driving privileges for three months.

After receiving his sentence, Benson released a statement saying he was sorry and admitted he hadn’t informed the Love Island team or Channel Nine about what happened before the show began.

He said he was deeply sorry for what happened at the beginning of the year.

I want to be clear: I didn’t mention this incident to anyone at Love Island or Channel Nine before I started on the show, and I’m sorry for not telling them.

I was trying to stand up for my friend, but I admit I overreacted. The judge understood it wasn’t unprovoked, and I wasn’t given a criminal record. Even so, I sincerely regret what I did.

He was once described in his show biography as a skilled and passionate boxer, but that description has since been taken down.
