Maná extends record-breaking Vivir Sin Aire tour, adds additional L.A. stops

Maná recently finished a successful run of shows at the Kia Forum, concluding with a sold-out performance on Saturday. For those who weren’t able to catch them, there’s still reason to be excited!

I’m so excited! The band just announced they’re adding 19 more dates to their Vivir Sin Aire tour, and they’re coming to L.A. and all over Southern California! I can’t wait to see them live again.

On Friday, the Mexican rock band played their 43rd concert in the Los Angeles area, breaking Bruce Springsteen’s record for the most arena shows ever performed there.

Maná will be performing at the Honda Center in Anaheim on June 5th and 6th. They’re also scheduled to play in Southern California at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on September 26th, and at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista on October 10th.

The artists behind “Labios Compartidos” are continuing their incredibly popular run of concerts in the L.A. area. They’ll be performing at the Kia Forum on September 18th and 19th, bringing their total number of arena shows in the region to 47 – a new record. They broke Bruce Springsteen’s previous record of 43 arena shows in L.A. with a concert on November 21st.

To celebrate the band Maná’s deep connection to Los Angeles and the famous Forum, a permanent art installation has been added backstage at the venue. It proudly declares: “Maná – Kings of L.A.”

The Grammy-winning group has performed at the Forum over 30 times. They also have a strong connection to Los Angeles, having played 11 sold-out shows in a row at Staples Center in 2012 to promote their album “Drama Y Luz,” and receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016.

Column: Why the Rock Hall Needs to Induct Maná

The legendary Spanish-language rock band is set to become the first act performing primarily in Spanish to be inducted, a particularly meaningful achievement given the current political climate in the United States.

Before performing at the Forum on November 21st, the band members discussed their connection to Los Angeles and shared a message for their Latino fans, especially given the current political challenges facing the community, with The Times.

Lead singer Fher Olvera told The Times in November that Los Angeles has long been a major inspiration for the band, and they’ve watched the city change over time.

Olvera’s message to Latino fans is to stay hopeful and remember that difficult times don’t last forever. He quoted the Buddhist saying, ‘Everything shall pass,’ and expressed optimism that these challenges will soon be over, noting that presidential terms are limited – though this one has felt exceptionally long and difficult.
