Rapper and frequent Travis Barker collaborator POORSTACY dead at 26

Rising emo-rap artist POORSTACY has tragically died at the age of 26 in Florida.

TMZ reported that the musician passed away early Saturday morning after being taken from a hotel to a hospital due to a medical issue. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner confirmed the news.

According to a staff member at a Boca Raton hotel, the performer—Carlito Milfort—had been a guest for ten days, arriving with a woman and a young child. He was the only person taken to the hospital, and there were no other reported injuries.

Authorities have not yet released his cause of death.

This up-and-coming rapper and singer had gained a strong fanbase and collaborated with Travis Barker, the drummer from Blink-182, on several songs. These collaborations established him as a standout new artist in the emo-rap world.

Out of the three songs they collaborated on, “Choose Life,” released in 2020 on his album The Breakfast Club, was the most popular.

Throughout his music career, POORSTACY released two full albums and two EPs. He also contributed to the soundtrack for Bill & Ted Face the Music, which was nominated for a Grammy Award.
