Sinners Officially Sets New Streaming Home This Month

Okay, so Warner Bros. and Ryan Coogler really knocked it out of the park with “Sinners.” It did great in theaters when it came out in spring 2025, and it’s still performing really well now that it’s streaming on HBO Max – it launched on July 4th and people haven’t stopped watching!

The year’s most successful original film that isn’t based on existing characters will be available on Prime Video starting December 26th.

Ryan Coogler, the director of Black Panther, returns with a new film starring Michael B. Jordan, who plays two characters – Smoke and Stack. They’re childhood friends and small-time criminals who go back to their hometown in the Mississippi Delta during the Depression to start a bigger criminal operation.

The brothers’ lively new club had a chaotic opening night when a family of Irish vampires showed up, causing complete mayhem. Director Coogler masterfully controlled the wild scenes, and the soundtrack blended traditional blues with Irish melodies.

When Sinners came out, critics loved it, and it still has incredibly positive reviews. Currently, the film has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, showing widespread critical acclaim. Viewers largely agree, giving it a 96% audience score.
