At the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, the up-and-coming team B8 is proving everyone wrong. They’re now in the second stage of the tournament and just one step away from becoming a top CS2 esports team: qualifying for Stage 3. They have two opportunities to make it happen.
The first time the general Counter-Strike community noted B8 was at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
B8 secured their place in the European qualifier by defeating Astralis. They then moved on to Stage 2, winning 3-0 and even beating Falcons with a score of 2-1. However, their run ended when they faced FURIA and Lynn Vision, and unfortunately, they lost to both teams.
Things are much different now with all the excitement surrounding the Budapest Major. However, B8 is still following a familiar pattern. They’ve once again reached Stage 2 with a 2-1 record, defeating Team Liquid and Fnatic, but losing to NAVI.
B8 has two opportunities in the final matches of Stage 2 at the StarLadder CS2 Major 2025 in Budapest to advance further in the tournament. Just one win will send them to Stage 3.
