Stranger Things season 5 spoilers follow.
The latest season of Stranger Things began streaming last week, marking the start of the show’s final chapter. The new episodes were packed with intense drama as the characters faced a continuing threat from the villain, Vecna (played by Jamie Campbell Bower).
Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke) were in a very dangerous situation, practically defenseless against a Demogorgon.

Fortunately, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) unexpectedly helped save the day by demonstrating powers similar to Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown). This discovery could be very important later on.
In an interview with Glamour, Noah Schnapp revealed that the recent plot twist was hinted at in the season five poster. Will was shown positioned below Vecna, but importantly, above Eleven.

The poster is meant to capture the feeling of the current season and show where each character is in the story at that point in time, the actor explained.
You can definitely see Will’s strength highlighted in the poster. They intentionally showed as much of that as possible without including any graphic details like blood. Everything we do is carefully considered and purposeful.
The final season of the show premiered on Netflix last week (November 26th) and has been mostly praised by critics and viewers alike. It’s been released in three parts, bringing a ten-year story to a close.

Digital Spy gave the first four episodes of season five a four-star review, calling it the show’s strongest start yet. This is high praise, especially considering how beloved and unique the very first episode was.
The first part of Stranger Things is consistently gripping and suspenseful. It’s packed with action and features a thrilling soundtrack, keeping your heart racing with incredible performances from the cast.
You can watch seasons 1 through 5 of Stranger Things on Netflix. Plus, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a new play running at the Phoenix Theatre in London, with tickets available now through September 7, 2025.
