Charlotte Crosby details the pressure to ‘bounce back’ after pregnancy as she feared being ‘forgotten’ by the TV industry after welcoming second child

Charlotte Crosby has opened up on the pressure she felt to ‘bounce back’ after pregnancy.

Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, 36, and her fiancé Jake Ankers, 34, recently welcomed their second daughter, Pixi, in February. They are also parents to their older daughter, Alba, who is two years old.

I was really touched by the reality star’s recent interview. She was so open about the struggles of being a mom and trying to build a career at the same time. It’s something I, and so many other women, can really relate to – it’s a tough balancing act, and it was refreshing to hear her talk about it so honestly.

She exclusively told Daily Mail: ‘I think you always feel pressure with this kind of job.

After becoming a mother, people often assume she’ll need to scale back her career. This leads many women to feel pressured to reduce their work commitments or take a less demanding role.

‘Especially in this industry where you may have been forgotten about.’

Charlotte added that it’s incredibly challenging for working mothers who are also striving to succeed professionally.

It takes extra effort to regain your footing, and I truly sympathize with women facing that challenge. They’re already completely drained, essentially working around the clock, and they’re eager to show everyone – and themselves – that they’re just as capable as they were before having children.

People often assume their performance will decline after having children.

‘I just think there’s so much pressure on work and women as mothers.

Everyone handles it differently – some don’t want to involve their kids at work, and others prefer to keep work and family separate. But I enjoy having my children with me when I work.

Let me tell you, juggling work and motherhood is intense. Especially with two little ones! It’s completely draining, and honestly, it’s just exhausting trying to balance it all.

‘Like I’ve never been this exhausted in my whole entire life.

Have you ever noticed what makes us find things funny? For example, when someone says, “I’m so tired, I’ve been working so much!” it can be amusing.

‘I think, “you don’t know, you don’t know don’t even know what tired means.”

I often think back to what I used to say before becoming a parent, and I wish I could take it back – I’d really want to tell myself off!

It’s incredibly challenging physically, but I enjoy it so much that’s why I keep at it.

Charlotte recently shared a vulnerable moment on Instagram, tearing up as she talked about the difficulties she faced earlier this year with health issues and raising two young children.

The reality TV star became emotional while sharing with her 8.7 million followers that life isn’t always flawless.

She shared that she’s been dealing with back pain and some hearing loss, which is why she’s been going to a lot of doctor’s appointments.

Her day got off to a rough start when her baby daughter got sick, forcing her to rush home to clean up the mess and making her late as a result.

Charlotte shared that she was a little upset and wanted to show everyone that life isn’t always flawless.

Honestly, I’m really frustrated right now. My back has been absolutely killing me, and I was hoping to finally get an appointment to address it. It’s just awful timing because I already have so much going on! To top it off, I’ve also noticed my hearing feels off, so I need to get that checked out too. It’s just a lot to deal with all at once.

I was finally on track to get to work on time after rushing to leave, but then I looked in the car and my dog, Pixi, had thrown up everywhere.

I could still see some of her hair, so I rushed back inside to fix it. Alba was waiting in the car, and even though today was supposed to be her day off, I’ve been making her come with me, and I just started crying.

Charlotte explained she believes she was upset because of stress, and that she’s been doing everything she can to care for her daughters while Jake, who owns a business, is away working.

She explained that she believes the pressure of tomorrow’s big photoshoot is getting to her. She wants everything to go smoothly, but she’s also juggling her responsibilities with Alba and Pixie, and it’s proving difficult to manage everything.

Okay, so life’s a little chaotic right now. Jake’s work keeps him away a lot, which means I’m often managing things solo. Honestly? I just had a moment – a pile of sick clothes ended up on the floor, and now I’m escaping for a drive to collect my thoughts. It’s one of those days where you just need a little space to breathe!

It comes after Charlotte recently hit back at mum-shamers after being trolled for her parenting.

A new mother recently faced criticism online after posting a picture of her baby sleeping with a pillow. The comments were negative enough that she decided to take the photo down, despite only giving birth a few weeks prior.

Charlotte recently told the Daily Mail about the reaction to her new TV show, ‘Charlotte’s Having Another Baby,’ explaining that people overreacted all over again. She simply said, ‘Everyone just freaked out again.’

It’s important for parents to stay calm. Babies often reflect their parents’ emotions, so if you can relax, your baby is more likely to be calm too. Many people tend to overreact and worry unnecessarily, and that anxiety can easily transfer to a child. Try to stay grounded and remember that stressful periods usually pass.

It’s easy to miss, but your anxiety and worry really affect your child. They pick up on your feelings. I personally try to stay calm and relaxed, and I don’t believe in judging others.

I don’t get stressed or worry about what others are doing. I just take things as they come.

Charlotte recently explained on Instagram that she had to remove a previous post because she received a lot of angry messages.

The product worked great for me – I used it with both Alba and Pixi. I realize everyone has different sensitivities, though. Hopefully, my next comment won’t cause any issues for anyone.

Charlotte noted how another thing that people are very judgmental about is breastfeeding.

She said: ‘I just really don’t understand why people care what other people are doing.

I truly believe everyone should raise their children as they see fit, as long as it’s not harmful. I wouldn’t criticize anyone’s parenting choices unless they were actively hurting their child.

It makes me a little sad to see how much judgment there is around feeding babies. Some of my friends choose to breastfeed, and others don’t, and it feels like everyone has an opinion.

‘I don’t go “Oh that’s really bad”. Like, I just don’t do that. It’s their choice.’

She explained that she chose not to breastfeed, noting she hadn’t been breastfed as a baby either, and felt she’d turned out okay. She questioned whether not being breastfed had negatively impacted her life at all.

Charlotte is back on our screens with her new series of Geordie Stories: Charlotte Mam of Two.

The series begins streaming on Paramount+ in the UK on November 19th and shows the reality star’s everyday life with her partner, Jake, and their two kids.
