Stream now! ‘Edge of the seat’ Australian crime drama that had fans hooked returns to UK today

The Australian crime drama Bay of Fires, created and starring Marta Dusseldorp, is now available in the UK with a brand new season. Fans have been waiting a long time for these new episodes – but are they any good?

In the series, Tasma Walton plays Stella Heikkinen, a woman who moves to the town of Mystery Bay, Tasmania, with her children, Iris and Otis, after surviving an attack. But she can’t escape the danger that’s pursuing her.

I was totally hooked on this crime drama when it first came out last year, and I’m so glad it’s back! It already aired in Australia earlier this year, but finally, all eight episodes of the second season are now streaming on ITVX for us in the UK – I can’t wait to binge-watch them!

What to Read Next

The second season begins with Stella leading the town of Mystery Bay while also raising her child and managing the demands of the criminal underworld. While things are going well for Mystery Bay under Stella’s leadership, her financial approach is a bit disorganized.

Things were looking up for a little while, but then everything went crazy! She and her kids suddenly found themselves caught in the middle of so much trouble – a completely unhinged drug lord who keeps bees, a dangerous doomsday cult, the return of someone she thought was gone forever (and who really holds a grudge!), and even a full-blown civil war starting up in town. It’s just one disaster after another, honestly!

Okay, so I’m playing as Stella, and it’s hitting me now – a lot of this mess is probably my fault. The story seems to be leading towards me having to go back to where it all started and just…destroy it. Seriously, blow the whole place up. That’s what it looks like, anyway.

Along with creator Robert Dusseldorp, and fellow creators Max Dann and Andrew Knight, the cast of Bay of Fires features Toby Leonard Moore, Nicholas Bell, Pamela Rabe, Kerry Fox, and Tony Barry.

While professional critics haven’t extensively reviewed the crime drama, it’s been fairly popular with regular viewers. Currently, it has a respectable 6.6 out of 10 rating on IMDb, based on over 1,300 reviews.

One viewer shared that “Bay of Fires” is exceeding their expectations, describing Tasmania as beautiful, the plot as gripping, the characters as interesting and unique, and the show as a complete escape from everyday life.

Another fan raved about the show Bay of Fires, calling it fantastic. They praised the actors, writers, and beautiful visuals, predicting it will be one of the year’s best TV series.

Bay of Fires is streaming on ITVX.
