When Sydney Sweeney was 13, her family moved to Hollywood to support her acting ambitions. It took several years for her career to take off. In 2017, seven years after the move, she landed a part on The Handmaid’s Tale. Then, two years later, she became widely known for her role in the popular teen drama, Euphoria.
Following her appearances in The White Lotus and the romantic comedy Anyone But You, Sydney Sweeney gained significant attention, particularly for her on-screen chemistry with Glen Powell. Surprisingly, despite her growing success, she revealed she was still struggling financially.
Now 28 years old, she’s estimated to have a net worth of £37.7 million and enjoys a lavish lifestyle including private jet travel. This outdoor area is a huge improvement over her previous stay at the Holiday Inn, which didn’t even have a balcony. It features a large, curved pool with two levels and ocean views, plus an outdoor kitchen and a boat ramp, among other things.
But her happiness isn’t limited to work. Sources say that Sweeney, a highly sought-after actress in Hollywood, is also enjoying a blossoming romance with music industry executive Scooter Braun.
They’re currently on vacation together – with her friends and mother, who shares a similar body type with her. Photos show them having fun on jet skis, relaxing in the pool, and enjoying the sunshine.
Sydney shared a video on Instagram on Thursday of herself waterskiing, and she looked incredibly confident and skilled while doing it.
The actress bought a house in the Florida Keys just over a year ago, and people in the area are starting to see her around town.
According to one Summerland Key resident, she frequently visits Big Pine Key, often shopping at the local Winn-Dixie supermarket. A staff member at the No Name Pub mentioned she may have been there, but they respect the privacy of all their famous customers.
Privacy is rare for Sweeney, as she’s constantly photographed – from leaving the gym to sharing passionate moments with Braun in New York’s Central Park.
Having worked with superstars like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, Braun is naturally able to advise his partner on dealing with the challenges of fame. Reports suggest his successful career has also earned him a net worth of approximately $1 billion.

Unlike single men like Orlando Bloom and Tom Brady, Braun reportedly didn’t make any romantic advances towards Sweeney.
Despite everything, they did connect and swap contact information. When they were both back in Los Angeles, they went on a date, which Sweeney described as a pleasant surprise.

‘She likes old houses – buying and restoring them,’ a source said. It’s an expensive hobby.
This large nine-bedroom home boasts views of the Bel Air Country Club golf course. Over the years, it has hosted many famous guests, including actresses Joan Collins and Joan Crawford, and the iconic French singer Edith Piaf. The property also features a guest house for staff or security, a pool, a professional-grade tennis court, and a long, private gated driveway.
This could finally be a permanent home for Sweeney, who grew up in a typical family in Spokane, Washington.
She was a very active and athletic girl who loved a wide range of sports, from hiking and swimming to golf, skiing, dirt biking, and football. She also enjoyed academic pursuits, participating in her high school’s robotics team and maths club. Looking back, she realizes she may have been overdoing it all, either to downplay her strong physical presence or to keep her mind occupied.
She explained that developing earlier than her peers made her feel like an outsider. She was self-conscious and avoided changing in the locker room, leading her to create a sort of false front to cope with how she felt about her body.
Growing up, I participated in all kinds of sports and focused on my studies – I did everything people didn’t expect, to prove that my physical condition didn’t limit me. When I was eleven, I discovered my passion for acting and even created a five-year plan, complete with a spreadsheet, to show my parents how I would succeed in Hollywood. They supported my dream and faithfully drove me to auditions for years.
When she was thirteen, the family moved to Los Angeles to give her a chance at pursuing her dreams. Their time staying in a motel showed just how challenging this transition was for them.
She remembered feeling hurt when people – even loved ones – would ask when she planned to get a ‘real job’ and come home. These dismissive comments made her doubt herself and feel guilty that she’d asked her parents to support her pursuit of her dreams.
She explained that she’d always dreamed of turning eighteen and using the money to buy her parents’ house, hoping it would bring them back together. Sadly, that never happened, and she realized it wasn’t possible because her parents had already separated by then.
Sweeney’s mother, who used to be a lawyer, has returned to Spokane. Sweeney recently shared that she’s finished paying off the mortgage on her family’s lakeside home, which has been in the family for five generations.
Her father, who works in hospitality, lives ‘off grid’ in Mexico.
She explains that her parents gave up a lot to help her pursue her goals, and she felt a strong need to prove to them that their sacrifices weren’t in vain.

The corset, with its steel boning, created a very small waist and emphasized her natural curves. Apparently, her grandmother was so impressed – as Sweeney recounted – that she exclaimed, “Best breasts in Hollywood!” while watching her scenes in Euphoria.
This summer, her advertising campaign for American Eagle jeans, which focused on genetics, sparked a lot of controversy. While many criticized it, Donald Trump publicly praised her work.
Actors Aimee Lou Wood and Dan Stevens are among those criticizing the advertisement for what they believe is its use of language associated with white supremacy.
Sweeney simply stated she prefers wearing jeans and doesn’t feel the need to explain herself. She added, ‘You just know who you are,’ implying that personal style is self-evident.
‘And the people who matter and are your friends and your family, they know who I am.’
She hasn’t spoken about being a registered Republican, which is unusual for someone in Hollywood known for their liberal views. There are reports that her Euphoria co-star, Zendaya, is avoiding her on the set of the show’s third season, but Zendaya hasn’t confirmed these claims.
Sweeney has, though, always seemed to have a thick skin, especially in the service of her dream.
