Michael B. Jordan Shares Update on ‘Creed IV’ and New Spinoff Based on Adonis Creed’s Daughter

Michael B. Jordan has shared some thoughts about what’s next for the Creed series, and hinted at another potential spin-off. Jordan first played Adonis Creed in Creed (2015), a continuation of the Rocky story. He later appeared in Creed II (2018) and Creed III, which he also directed. While it’s been two years since Creed III was released, there hasn’t been any official announcement about future films in the series.

I was reading an interview with Michael B. Jordan in Variety, and he finally talked about Creed IV. He said it will happen “eventually,” and that the Creed movies have been amazing for him. He has a lot of love for everyone at MGM and Irwin Winkler. Right now, he’s busy directing and starring in a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, which isn’t coming out until March 2027. So, realistically, we’re probably looking at 2028 or later for Creed IV – that would be five years after Creed III, and Michael would be 41! He even mentioned how many more Creed movies he feels he has in him and what he still wants to achieve with the story.

There’s definitely potential for more stories with these characters. I don’t want to be actively involved in making them for another 15 years, but I think we can explore some really interesting directions with the ones we’ve already created – and introduce some new ones I’m excited about. I’d like to contribute to the franchise a couple more times if I can.

Another ‘Creed’ Television Spin-Off Series Has Been Confirmed

Amazon MGM

Michael B. Jordan recently revealed to Variety that Prime Video has greenlit a series focusing on Amara Creed, the daughter of Adonis Creed. This marks the first official announcement confirming the project, which was initially discussed in 2023, is now in development. Jordan shared the news, stating:

We’re developing a TV show for Amazon that tells the story of Amara, Adonis Creed’s daughter. This will expand the ‘Creed’ universe, which I call the ‘Creed-verse.’ These new stories will keep the world going without me having to be the central boxer in every installment. I’ll still be involved, but in a supporting role.

Following the release of Creed III in April 2023, plans got underway to expand the Creed universe. Michael B. Jordan had expressed interest in creating a spin-off inspired by anime. In May 2025, the first spin-off series, Delphi, was officially announced. Delphi will focus on the famous gym featured in both the Rocky and Creed movies. It’s currently unknown whether Amara is a separate project from Delphi, or if the two have been combined into a single show.

The Creed series started as a continuation of the Rocky films, but it quickly became its own unique story. It’s been so successful that Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky character was removed from Creed III after disagreements with producer Irvin Winkler. Unlike some franchises that struggle to move past their original stars, Creed proved a new lead could thrive – Creed III earned $156 million domestically and $273 million worldwide, surpassing the previous films. This success suggests Creed could continue to evolve, potentially moving beyond both Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa and Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed, with characters like Delphi and Amara.
