Guess Who! Iconic Aussie rocker cuts a low-key figure in Sydney as he steps out for lunch with wife in the midst of Down Under tour

An Australian rock icon cut a very casual figure when he stepped out in Sydney this week.

AC/DC’s famous guitarist, Angus Young, was enjoying some downtime with his wife, Ellen van Lochem, during a pause in the band’s Australian tour on Friday. They’ve been married for 45 years.

The couple went out for dim sum, and 70-year-old Angus looked much older than the schoolboy character he plays on stage.

The Thunderstruck rocker wore a light grey T-shirt and a pair of form-fitting light blue jeans.

He completed his relaxed outfit with a pair of classic Converse sneakers, letting his long, silver hair flow freely in the wind.

Ellen, his wife, wore a brightly colored dress with an abstract design featuring shades of pink, blue, and purple.

She had a big, brightly colored crochet tote bag and wore her blonde hair pulled back in a neat bun.

The couple seemed relaxed and happy, chatting as they walked to the restaurant.

AC/DC received a hero’s welcome in Sydney last week after playing two huge concerts at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

Let me tell you, their performance was absolutely incredible! They really went all out with a massive 21-song setlist, playing all their biggest hits – the songs everyone knows and loves. It was a truly unforgettable show!

The band kicked off their show at Accor Stadium with their hit song “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” from 1978 and immediately captivated the enthusiastic crowd. They finished with a powerful encore featuring “T.N.T.” and their iconic anthem, “For Those About to Rock We Salute You.”

Angus radiated energy and confidence as he moved across the stage with his famous walk.

Angus, always keeping his playful spirit, continued to wear his signature school uniform. This time, instead of the bright red shorts and blazer he’d worn to the first Melbourne concert, he opted for a deep purple color scheme.

He brightened up his usual look by adding a vibrant yellow cap with a big ‘A’ on it.

Angus confidently played his black Gibson SG guitar, clearly comfortable and energetic as he moved freely around the stage.

The fans looked to be lapping up every second of the powerhouse performance, too.

Pictures captured a wildly enthusiastic crowd thoroughly enjoying the performance, with many fans sporting AC/DC devil horns. They looked genuinely thrilled and full of energy.

The show elicited a flurry of excitement from fans on social media, too.

After their Sydney show, the band posted a thank you message on Instagram, and fans quickly responded with lots of love.

Married At First Sight’s Dean Wells enthusiastically declared a band to be ‘Out of control! Still the best rock band ever!’

Dean shared photos and videos from the concert on his Instagram, and continued to express his excitement about the legendary band.

‘This has got to be the toughest generation in history,’ he wrote over a clip of Angus.

Their songs are almost exclusively about conflict and battles, and even after all these years – they’re seventy now – they still outperform most contemporary music.

Another fan echoed Dean’s sentiment, saying the band put on a show that belied their age.

‘Thankyou hometown heroes. The local lads were unbelievable,’ the fan gushed.

Brian’s voice hasn’t changed in twenty years, and Angus still has more energy on stage than most musicians. He’s constantly moving – running, strutting, and jumping – all while playing amazing guitar solos for two hours straight.

Another person strongly agreed, saying, ‘Brian is doing incredibly well. He’s much more agile than people half his age.’

The iconic Australian rockers are midway through the Down Under leg of their world Power Up tour.

AC/DC is currently touring the world with their Power Up tour and is now in Australia. They’ll perform at the bp Adelaide Grand Final this Sunday, and then head to Perth to play at Optus Stadium on December 4th and 8th.

Oh my gosh, they’re adding TWO MORE shows! I can’t even breathe! It’s happening at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on December 14th and 18th! I need to be there, I have to be there!
