The action thriller Tornado, featuring Tim Roth (from the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and Jack Lowden (known for Slow Horses), is now available to stream in the UK after its cinema release earlier this year.
This movie takes place in the 1790s and tells the story of a Japanese woman and her father journeying through Scotland. Their lives are dramatically altered when they encounter a local gang.
The movie is now streaming on Prime Video, and is also still available to purchase or rent digitally or on DVD/Blu-ray.

Kōki, the lead actress, is captivating as Tornado, especially considering it’s one of her early film roles and she often has very little dialogue. The film builds tension by making you root for her survival, rather than relying on action sequences. This makes the movie’s shift in the final act – becoming a clear tribute to classic samurai films – a welcome surprise.
Despite the difficult subject matter, the film is well-made and the violent moments feel satisfying after the tension builds. Jack Lowden delivers a powerful performance that will stay with you, and experiencing Tornado is definitely worthwhile.
