As the premiere of Stranger Things Season 5 approached in 2025, rumors surfaced alleging that Millie Bobby Brown had accused David Harbour of bullying. With the first part of the final season now released, Brown has shared her experience working with Harbour this season.

The actress known for her role in Enola Holmes recently told Deadline about working with her co-star on the upcoming fifth season. She shared warm words about both him and their working relationship.

David and I have a strong working relationship, collaborating closely both during filming and in preparation. I’m really looking forward to viewers seeing how we brought our characters’ story to a satisfying conclusion, and especially what that means for fans of Hopper and Eleven. It’s been a real passion project.

In early November, reports surfaced that David Harbour was accused of bullying and harassment, with Alyssa Brown reportedly filing a complaint. Netflix investigated the allegations, but hasn’t publicly commented on the results.

When the news came out, Brown and Harbour tried to show there were no issues by smiling and taking pictures together at the movie premiere. Soon after, sources told Variety that the investigation into the bullying complaint had been completed and the matter was resolved.

Okay, so in the first part of Stranger Things Season 5, Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour really share the spotlight. A lot of their scenes take place in the terrifying Upside Down, and honestly, it’s powerful stuff. I think certain scenes will really resonate with audiences, and I absolutely love them. Knowing I get to work with him motivates me to do my best work every time, because I know he’s equally committed and will deliver a powerful performance in return.

The actress also discussed her working relationship with the actor from Thunderbolts. She emphasized that she felt secure and comfortable while filming with him. She added that playing father and daughter in the movie helped them develop a close bond. Millie Bobby Brown then explained:

I absolutely felt safe on set. I’ve worked with this crew for a decade and trust everyone there. After working together for so long, you naturally become close. Playing father and daughter has definitely strengthened that bond, especially since we’ve filmed some very emotional scenes together, particularly in Season 2.

Based on reports, Brown and Harbour appeared to have a positive and productive working relationship during the final season. While Netflix hasn’t officially addressed the bullying allegations, and questions remain, the actors have been seen together and have discussed their collaboration on the season.
