2 Huge Stranger Things Characters Shockingly Interacted for the 1st Time in Season 5

Even though the world of Stranger Things is full of interconnected characters, two of the show’s biggest stars didn’t share a scene together until the third episode of the final season. Their first conversation finally happened in the episode, “The Turnbow Trap.”

Will and Steve have never directly interacted until Stranger Things Season 5

Despite going through four seasons together, Will and Steve were surprisingly the only main characters on Stranger Things who never actually spoke to each other. That changed in the first part of season five when they finally had a quick conversation about Will’s connection to Vecna.

Fans recently noticed that Steve Harrington and Will Byers hadn’t directly spoken to each other throughout the show’s five seasons. One fan account, @Stevehcrave, pointed this out online. However, another fan questioned this, asking if they’d had a conversation in episode 3. The original account then acknowledged they were mistaken.

This observation sparked a lot of discussion among fans, who wondered if there was a specific reason for it or if it simply wasn’t necessary for the show’s storyline.

That winning streak is over, as the two characters finally interacted in Episode 3 of Stranger Things Season 5.

During the episode, Steve directly asked Will if he’d experienced Vecna’s visions through Derek. Will replied that he had, explaining he felt like Vecna while inside Derek’s thoughts.

Since the season isn’t over yet, Steve and Will might interact again.

The first part of the final season of Stranger Things is now available on Netflix. The second part will be released on December 25, 2025, and the series will conclude with the finale on December 31, 2025.
