Sharon Osbourne’s heartbreaking last promise to Ozzy: As she appears on red carpet four months after his death, friends tell how she’s ‘absolutely determined to keep his wish’ – despite the cost to her

She didn’t think she would ever smile again following the death of her husband Ozzy Osbourne.

Four months after the passing of the Black Sabbath singer, Sharon Osbourne made her first public appearance, trying to appear strong. She stood with her daughter Kelly, holding her hand as they smiled for the cameras.

For Sharon, age 73, her beautiful look at the Aki restaurant in London on Wednesday was a powerful and inspiring moment, both for her and her 41-year-old daughter.

The cocktail party, hosted by fashion designer Rebecca Vallance, drew a glamorous crowd including model Amber Le Bon, royal Zara Tindall, and singer Holly Valance.

Even though Sharon’s night out looked glamorous, she was actually feeling sad. Sources say she still misses her husband, Ozzy, who passed away in July from heart failure at their home, and doesn’t like to be far from his memory.

Ozzy is buried on the grounds of Welders House, a historic Georgian mansion in the village of Jordans. After his passing, his children – Aimee, Jack, and Kelly – returned to Los Angeles.

A close friend shared that Sharon is choosing to stay in the UK instead of moving to the US to be with her children and grandchildren. The situation is heartbreaking, but Kelly has been a huge support, flying back to be with her mother and help her through this difficult time. Kelly’s main goal is to ensure Sharon remains strong and positive.

Sharon is refusing to travel to Australia to support her son, Jack, on the show ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here,’ because she’s fiercely committed to not disappointing Ozzy, as she puts it.

‘At the moment there is no family member due to meet Jack,’ a source told me.

Sharon is unable to attend because she needs to stay with Ozzy. While she’s done everything she can to support Jack, she simply can’t be there for him right now. It’s heartbreaking for her, as she loves her children very much.

‘But she is absolutely determined to keep Ozzy’s wish.’

Ozzy requested to be buried beneath a crabapple tree on his property, a wish his family happily agreed to. He shared this desire in his 2010 autobiography, I Am Ozzy, explaining he wanted his children to be able to make wine from his remains and have a good time remembering him.

After Ozzy Osbourne passed away after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease, his wife, Sharon, honored his wishes. He had specifically told her, ‘Please don’t cremate me. I want to be buried in a garden with a tree planted above me—ideally a crabapple tree.’

Sharon stayed home and took care of things until Wednesday. Kelly was so happy to see her mother finally having fun again after being sad for many months.

Kelly shared on Instagram after her mother Sharon attended a red carpet event for the first time since becoming a widow, writing that she thought Sharon looked beautiful and seemed to be enjoying herself. She thanked designer Rebecca Vallance, saying they all loved her work. According to sources at the event, Sharon and Kelly were in good spirits, enjoying rosé wine and prawn skewers.

Sharon and her daughter coordinated their outfits: Sharon wore a sparkly, long-sleeved red dress worth £1,100, created by their host, Rebecca, and Kelly wore a £1,060 halter neck dress, also designed by Rebecca.

Both Sharon and Kelly appear noticeably slimmer recently, leading to rumors they’ve used the weight-loss drug Ozempic. Sharon has confirmed she previously used it but says she’s stopped, while Kelly hasn’t commented on the speculation.

A friend commented that Kelly looks much healthier and has lost weight. They expressed concern for both Kelly and her partner, acknowledging they’ve been going through a tough period.

Sharon is a grandmother to five children. Her son, Jack, has four daughters named Pearl, Andy Rose, Minnie Theodora, and Maple Artemis. Her daughter, Kelly, has one son named Sidney.

Sharon is devastated that her children have moved and now faces a difficult decision: stay with Ozzy or move to California to be closer to her family.

Just before his death, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne listed their Los Angeles home in the exclusive Hancock Park area for $18 million. I hear it hasn’t sold yet, so Sharon still has the option of moving back if she wants to.

A friend of Sharon’s in the US shared with me, ‘We really miss her and just want to be able to hug her again. We hope she’ll come back to Los Angeles.’

But I’m told that it’s unlikely to be anytime soon.
