Meghan Trainor admits her ‘heart was broken’ by vicious online trolls after suffering backlash for using Mounjaro as she addresses her weight loss on The Jennifer Hudson Show

Meghan Trainor says she was deeply hurt by harsh comments online after people reacted negatively to her weight loss.

The singer and actress has lost over 60 pounds by exercising regularly, making some changes to her diet, and using a low dose of the weight loss medication Mounjaro.

Her dramatic weight loss has drawn criticism from some online fans, who disagree with using fast solutions to achieve such significant physical changes.

Singer Meghan Trainor, 31, recently shared on The Jennifer Hudson Show that she was hurt by negative comments she’s seen on social media.

‘It felt like a flame lit off, and I was just getting attacked by so many mean comments,’ she said.

I don’t usually see many negative comments, or if I do, they don’t bother me. But these recent ones were really harsh. People were asking things like, ‘You used to be the bassist, why have you lost weight?’

She added: ‘It was very confusing, and it broke my heart.’

The popular American singer, who is currently promoting her new album, ‘Toy With Me,’ has said it’s difficult for her to truly relate to the message of its lead single, ‘Still Don’t Care.’ The song was written as a response to online harassment she’s received.

She said she wished she could be more carefree and just be herself, without worrying about what others thought.

Earlier this year, Meghan Trainor sparked rumors about losing weight as the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic gained attention in Hollywood. In April, she clarified the situation, stating she had actually been using the medication Mounjaro.

She later revealed she developed gestational diabetes during her pregnancy with her son, Barry, her second child with Daryl Sabara, which led her to become very focused on her health.

Gestational diabetes usually disappears after a baby is born, but the Mayo Clinic notes that having it increases your chances of developing type 2 diabetes in the future.

Trainor closely monitors her digestive and hormone health, believing it’s essential to feel her best. She explains that doing her job effectively is difficult if she isn’t feeling well.

The singer told Los Angeles radio station KBIG that she was upset by the negative reaction she got after losing weight.

She explained that it’s strange – just as she’s starting to feel good about herself and learn to love who she is, she’s receiving more negativity than ever before.

‘I was confused, lost, really sad and heartbroken that I took care of myself but everyone’s angry.’

Trainor copes with criticism by leaning on her family and friends, and by remembering the advice of her therapist, who pointed out that she was letting strangers have too much influence over her feelings.

She revealed she was using the medication Mounjaro on April Fool’s Day, responding to online speculation that started after people noticed a change in her appearance on the red carpet.

She admitted she’s changed in the last decade, explaining that she’s focused on becoming healthier and stronger, both for her children and for herself.

After my second pregnancy, I really focused on getting back to feeling my best. That meant making some big changes – I worked with a nutritionist to revamp my diet, committed to a regular exercise routine with a trainer, and, honestly, I also utilized the support of modern medicine, including Mounjaro. It was a comprehensive approach, and I’m thrilled with the results – I feel fantastic!

Let’s celebrate our skills, personal development, and the importance of self-care. Let’s focus on what truly matters and keep the conversation centered there.
