At 74, actress Jane Seymour, famous for her roles in Hollywood and as a Bond girl, has revealed the secrets to her incredibly youthful appearance.
In a recent interview with People, the actress shared what a typical day looks like for her and the lifestyle choices that help her stay healthy, glowing, and full of energy even in her seventies.
Seymour explained she’s always been a morning person, adding with a laugh that having kids – she has six grown children – means you wake up whenever they need you to!
Whether she’s facing a long and demanding 12- to 14-hour workday or enjoying a slow start to the day at home, this performer always begins with a deliberate stretching routine.
She suggested starting the day with gentle, fish-like movements. “Wiggle your spine, arms, and feet,” she advised, explaining that a ballerina friend taught her this habit, and it “feels freeing.”
Seymour also cherishes simple pleasures when she has free time, like relaxing in bed and enjoying a peaceful moment before starting her day.

She chuckled, saying there’s a wonderful feeling of freedom in sleeping without clothes.
Seymour also explained she refuses to let busy schedules interrupt her from exercising.
I like to start my day with some gentle exercise, like Pilates, if I can. If I’m short on time in the morning, I’ll even do ballet-like stretches – pliés – while I’m getting ready on set, even in costume! I know it sounds funny, but it helps me memorize my lines.
Her skincare regime is just as meticulous.
She uses a body scrub called Crepe Erase while showering. She’s been working with the company, The Body Firm, that makes it for more than ten years.
She explained that it removes dead skin, which she believes leaves her skin looking firm and smooth, without wrinkles.
Sunscreen, she insists, is sacred.
I always wear sunscreen, generally SPF 40. I learned that lesson the hard way after George Hamilton jokingly told me to get a tan – I quickly realized how much faster sun exposure can age your skin.
Each morning before heading to work, Seymour takes her vitamins and collagen to stay healthy, regardless of what food is available on the movie or TV set.

I always need a good source of protein when I arrive on set, so I typically eat simple scrambled eggs – just the eggs, nothing else added.
She gathers fresh, homegrown ingredients – like basil, lettuce, blueberries, and herbs – from her organic garden. Then, she collects eggs by hand, always remembering to thank her chickens.
Each morning, Seymour hand-feeds the colorful fish, enjoying their peaceful and graceful movements in the water.
‘It’s my meditation. Maybe in another life I was a koi fish,’ she mused.
She’s a painter and fashion designer who finds inspiration while sketching watercolors on her balcony overlooking the ocean. Her paintings then influence her clothing designs.

Still, family remains at the heart of everything.
Seymour checks in with all children daily and keeps close tabs on her four grandchildren.
She shared that spending time with family, enjoying nature and good weather, and acting are what truly make her happy and fulfilled.
For Seymour, the secret to her ageless grace is not just discipline, it’s gratitude.
‘If I’ve helped somebody, created something, listened to someone… that’s a good day,’ she said.

Oh my gosh, I read that she actually told The Daily Mail she’s all about the Mediterranean diet! And she really emphasized how crucial it is to eat fresh, real food. It’s amazing – everything she does just seems so…healthy and perfect! I’m definitely trying to incorporate more of that into my life now.
She explained that she enjoys the Mediterranean diet, finding it both effective and flavorful, with plenty of tasty ingredients like tomatoes, olives, and fish.
Another hack is she has only once big meal a day at around 1:30 pm.
I begin my day with coffee and hard-boiled eggs to get some protein. I usually don’t have a complete meal until lunchtime, when I can savor it more.
‘I love fish and vegetables, and grow many greens in my back yard which I love to use.’
This star enjoys snacking on pistachios, cold vegetables such as cucumbers and celery, and hummus later in the day.
‘I do love nuts,’ she said. ‘I am a savory person, I like the salt.’
