Chloe Madeley and James Haskell show they’re still close co-parents as they take their daughter Bodhi, 3, on a family lunch date – two years after marital split

Although Chloe Madeley and James Haskell separated two years ago, they seem to have a friendly relationship as they continue to co-parent their daughter, Bodhi, and were recently seen enjoying a family outing together.

Chloe and her husband, who separated in October 2023 after five years of marriage, were seen at the Angel pub in Highgate with their three-year-old daughter. Chloe’s brother, Jack, and his wife, Issy Wilson, joined them.

Chloe opted for a cosy camel coat as she headed to the eatery with her estranged husband James.

The retired rugby player looked relaxed and informal as he walked into the pub with his daughter, holding her hand.

James posted a photo on Instagram earlier this week showing him with his ex-partner, Chloe, and their family while they were having lunch.

Chloe and James have always been friendly with each other as they raise their daughter together.

Recently, James opened up about the challenges of co-parenting with Chloe, explaining that he doesn’t share the most difficult aspects of their separation online.

He joined Mike Tindall on the show This Morning to talk with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about their new book, ‘Reloaded – The Good, The Bad & The Rugby,’ which they wrote with Alex Payne.

In the book, James touches upon the death of his father and navigating parenthood with Chloe.

James described Chloe as a wonderful mother and person, praising her talent, intelligence, and skill in her work.

Going through a separation is tough, and because we live relatively public lives, people naturally watch how you handle it. For me, the most important thing is always the child, and personal feelings or pride need to take a backseat.

Co-parenting has its ups and downs, like it does for many families. But we always focus on what’s best for our daughter and try to handle things positively.

‘I think it’s important to talk about it.

I often receive messages from men on social media who are going through separations or facing challenges, and they’re asking for advice based on things they’ve seen me do.

Social media can sometimes be misleading, presenting an unrealistic view of things. It’s not always positive or negative – it really depends on the situation.

‘You never post about bad stuff. You’ve got to take everything with a punch of salt.’

He said of Chloe: ‘She always had my back.

She’s really supportive now, just as she always is. Our daughter is wonderful, and we hope things continue to go well for her – it hasn’t always been easy.

‘But you’ve got to try!’

James and Chloe, whose parents are Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, began dating in 2014 and got married four years later.
