Absolute Batman #14 Showcases DC’s Most Brutal Fight Against Bane

Fans of intense action in DC Comics are buzzing about the new Absolute Batman #14. This issue delivers some of the most powerful and violent confrontations ever seen between Batman and Bane. Written by Scott Snyder, it presents a different version of Batman facing his greatest enemy in a particularly brutal showdown.

Absolute Batman #14 highlights Bane and Batman’s most barbaric fight so far

I remember when Bane first showed up in the Batman comics – issue number nine, to be exact. It was a total game changer! But the real shocker came in issue fourteen, where he finally had his ultimate battle with Bruce Wayne. Everyone thought Bane was finished for good after that fight, and the story seemed to wrap things up with him supposedly being defeated.

It was brutal watching Bane push Batman to his absolute limit, both physically and mentally. The worst part was seeing Bane try to make Batman take the ‘Venom’ drug – the very thing that gives Bane his incredible strength. It felt like Bane was trying to destroy Batman from the inside out, forcing him to choose between his principles and maybe, just maybe, a way to fight back.

At first, Batman avoids simply overpowering his strongest enemy, choosing to use clever tactics instead. He starts by dropping a skyscraper on the villain, then attempts to run him through with the Batmobile.

Despite Batman’s attempts to stop him, Bane continues using Venom, growing to an enormous size. Although Batman manages to injure one of Bane’s eyes, it doesn’t stop his destructive rampage.

Things were looking really bad for Batman in his fight with Bane, but then, thankfully, some allies showed up to help – even Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and Catwoman! Batman actually managed to seriously injure Bane, even damaging his spine, but it turned out Bane could heal himself with more of that Venom stuff, so it wasn’t enough.

Cornered and desperate to win, Batman considers taking Venom himself, but ultimately resists. Instead, he cleverly directs Catwoman to give Bane an overdose of the drug. This quickly reduces Bane to a helpless state, ensuring Batman’s victory in the fight.

So, a lot of fans were wondering if issue #14 wrapped up Bane’s story in the Absolute Batman collection, but I was surprised to find the final pages throw a real curveball. It turns out Bane – or what’s left of him – is now in the hands of the Joker! It’s a seriously unsettling cliffhanger and definitely leaves you wondering what twisted plans the Clown Prince of Crime has in store.
