Zootopia 2 Supporting Cast & Characters
Idris Elba reprises his role as Chief Bogo, the head commander of the Zootopia Police Department and Judy and Nick’s superior officer. Elba is a well-known actor with prominent roles in popular TV series such as Luther and The Wire.
Shakira is back as the character Gazelle! Beyond acting in the films, she’s also provided music for the franchise. Gazelle is known as a champion for animal equality and peace. Shakira herself is a highly acclaimed singer with four Grammy Awards.
Patrick Warburton will be voicing Mayor Brian Winddancer in Zootopia 2. Winddancer is a stallion who takes over as mayor after the previous one was removed. Warburton is a well-known actor, famous for playing The Tick, and for his voice work as Kronk in The Emperor’s New Groove and Joe Swanson on Family Guy.
Quinta Brunson voices Dr. Fuzzby in Zootopia 2, where she’s the therapist helping Nick and Judy navigate partner therapy. Many viewers will recognize Brunson as Janine Teagues, the creator and star of the hit show Abbott Elementary.
I’m so excited to hear Nate Torrence is coming back as Benjamin Clawhauser for Zootopia 2! He was hilarious as the friendly face at the Zootopia Police Department. You might also recognize him from She’s Out of My League or his role as Sully on Supernatural – he’s a really versatile actor!
Bonnie Hunt voices Judy Hopps’ mother, Bonnie Hopps, and is reprising her role for Zootopia 2. Hunt is a well-known actress with memorable performances in films like Rain Man, Beethoven, and Cheaper by the Dozen.
I’m so excited Don Lake is back as Stu Hopps, Judy’s dad, for Zootopia 2! He’s a fantastic actor, and it’s great to see familiar faces returning. I know he and Bonnie Hunt have a long history working together – he was even on The Bonnie Hunt Show! Plus, he’s been in some really iconic movies like Police Academy and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It’s awesome to have someone with that kind of experience contributing to the sequel.
Macaulay Culkin will be joining the cast of Zooptopia 2 as Cattrick Lynxley, one of the villains. His character is a male lynx and is related to other characters in the movie – he’s Pawbert’s brother and Milton’s son. While many know him for his childhood roles, like Kevin McCallister in Home Alone, Culkin is now taking on this new animated role.
Brenda Song provides the voice for Kitty Lynxley, a lynx character and one of the movie’s villains. She’s the daughter of Milton. Song is known for her roles in films like The Social Network and TV series such as Scandal, and currently appears in Running Point.
Maurice LaMarche returns as Mr. Big in Zootopia 2. Mr. Big is a shrew and a mafia boss who helps Judy Hopps, and he operates out of Tundratown. LaMarche is also known for voicing Chief Quimby in Inspector Gadget and The Brain in Pinky and the Brain.
Leah Latham returns as Fru Fru, Mr. Big’s daughter, who recently got married and surprisingly named her own daughter Judy. Latham doesn’t have a large acting career outside of her work on Zootopia, where she’s best known for voicing Fru Fru.
Fru Fru has a daughter named Judith, who is voiced by actress Cecily Strong. Strong is known for her work on Saturday Night Live, as well as roles in the 2016 Ghostbusters film and the Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon.
Raymond S. Persi returns as the voice of Flash Slothmore in Zootopia 2. He’s the famously slow-moving sloth who works at the DMV. Persi is a well-known voice actor with credits in popular films like Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Tommy Chong reprises his role as Yax, the friendly domestic yak who works at the nudist colony, in Zootopia 2. Many know Chong from his comedy work as one half of Cheech & Chong, and for his appearances on the TV show That ’70s Show.
Tommy Lister, Jr. reprises his role as Finnick, the fennec fox who used to help Nick with his schemes. Sadly, voice actor Tiny Lister passed away in 2020. However, his family generously allowed Disney to use previously recorded lines from the first movie, allowing Finnick to return for Zootopia 2.
