Jeff Brazier breaks his silence on his split from wife Kate as he reveals the reason why their seven-year marriage ended in summer: ‘It felt time to let it go’

Jeff Brazier has broken his silence on his split from wife Kate

Earlier this week it was reported the couple had decided to end their seven-year marriage.

Jeff, 46, announced on Instagram Tuesday that his marriage ended over the summer because he and his spouse realized they weren’t able to fulfill each other’s needs.

Ugh, my heart just broke a little more seeing that old family photo Jeff posted. He finally hinted at everything that’s been going on with his son, Freddy – apparently, they’ve had a really rough year with some serious family issues. It’s so sad, and I just want them to fix things! He didn’t say much, but even acknowledging it after all this time… it’s a lot.

He expressed deep love and gratitude for Kate, reflecting on everything they accomplished together, how much they’ve both grown, and the challenges they’ve overcome.

We split up over the summer and tried to keep it quiet for a while so we could both get used to the change.

For twelve years, we’ve been a source of comfort and support for each other, especially during challenging and complicated times in our lives.

‘I’m so proud of how hard we worked, how we kept showing up, we gave everything and more.

I deeply admire Kate’s accomplishments and am incredibly grateful for her unwavering support and unconditional love.

Jeff mentioned that Kate still reaches out to see how his sons are doing, especially with Freddy getting ready to become a father.

It really shows how much she cares that she still regularly asks about the boys and how they’re doing, because she’s so involved in their lives.

Everyone who knows her adores her, and I have a lot of friends who feel the same way. I’m especially going to miss her family – they were always incredibly supportive of us.

It’s hard to explain everything right now, and I don’t need to. We’ll continue to be there for each other, and I’m confident I’ll be cheering her on as she succeeds, just like always.

We both want to be happy, and we’re sad that we weren’t able to make each other happy in the long run. It just felt like the right time to move on.

A number of stars commented on Jeff’s post.

Kate Lawler expressed how nice it was to see everyone still connected, and Lisa Snowdon and Rebecca Loos shared heart emojis.

It comes after it was reported PR guru Kate moved out of their marital home three weeks ago.

Jeff recently posted photos of his new country home, explaining that he’s going through a period of change and enjoying a peaceful lifestyle.

Jeff wasn’t wearing his wedding ring when he reported live from Reykjavik on Monday’s Good Morning Britain. Kate also apparently removed hers after traveling to Las Vegas for the Grand Prix.

The couple previously split in late 2022 before reconciling seven months later.

The family has faced a lot of challenges in the last year, particularly concerning Jeff’s son, Freddy.

The 21-year-old son of the TV presenter, 46, and the late Jade Goody has recently reconciled with his father after a long and difficult family disagreement.

Jeff thought about going to court to prevent his son from seeing his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden, because he wanted to protect him.

Freddy, who is soon to be a father with his girlfriend Holly Swinburn, has stated that Jackiey introduced him to drugs. He also hinted that he previously attempted suicide by deliberately crashing his car during a period of extreme mental distress.

In June, Freddy seemed to criticize Kate by sharing a list of things he dislikes, which included ‘step parents’.

After getting back together with Jeff, Kate revealed she previously felt like a failure in their marriage, but then realized all couples go through difficult times.

She shared her views on marriage when a fan asked for help fixing their relationship.

She admitted that everyone tends to only show the positive side of their lives on social media. She believes anyone who claims marriage and parenting are simple isn’t being truthful. She used to feel like she wasn’t measuring up, but then she realized that everyone faces challenges.

I value my privacy and won’t discuss the specifics of our relationship, but I’m so thankful my husband is as committed to growing as a person and to our marriage as I am. That’s really all you can hope for in a partner.

I was so happy to hear Freddy announce he was going to be a dad back in August! He seemed really determined to make some positive changes in his life, and it meant a lot to me that he also wanted to reconnect with his father. It felt like a fresh start for him, and I’m really rooting for him.

The influencer’s mother, Jade, passed away from cervical cancer when he was only four years old. Sadly, it happened on Mother’s Day in 2009.

After Jade passed away, I watched her mother, Jackiey, step up and help raise her sons, Bobby and Freddy, which was truly admirable. However, over the years, Jackiey and Jeff, the boys’ father, haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, and they’ve definitely had their share of disagreements. It’s a complicated family dynamic, as many of us can relate to.

Recently, Freddy admitted to not eating and instead using cannabis, which he referred to as ‘green’.

He shared a picture of his grandmother, Jackiey, and revealed he’d been focusing on their relationship, unaware she had been deceiving him for years.

Freddy shared a video showing himself walking down the street in a bathrobe, followed by a clip of an ambulance. He explained in the caption that he experienced a series of episodes that ultimately led to him being hospitalized in a psychiatric ward during his 18th birthday.
