Full 2025 Survivor Series Predictions Including Big Questions About John Cena’s Last Match

Look, I’ve seen a lot of WarGames matches over the years, and some had better storylines leading in, honestly. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many big names in one single WarGames match – especially on the men’s side this year. I have huge respect for the Road Warriors, The Four Horsemen, Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, and all the legends who battled in that cage before, but the sheer amount of star power in this one feels different, it’s just extraordinary.

Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar are all considered among the top ten wrestling stars of all time. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) are arguably the greatest tag team ever, and Drew McIntyre is almost certain to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as soon as he’s eligible.

Logan Paul is quickly becoming passionate about professional wrestling, and if he continues to improve, he has the potential to be a future Hall of Famer. Bron Breakker is seen as one of the most talented up-and-coming wrestlers, and Bronson Reed is expected to become a World Champion at some point. It’s even possible that everyone involved in this match could eventually earn a place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

It’s still uncertain if the overall storyline will be satisfying. Survivor Series hasn’t been as strong as the other major pay-per-view events lately, and we’ll have to see if this match feels like just a collection of familiar moments, or if it actually helps develop the characters and build towards WrestleMania. Hopefully, it’s the latter.

The other matches on the card promise to develop existing storylines further. We’ll see the culmination of Stephanie Vaquer and Nikki Bella’s rivalry, a rematch between John Cena and Dominik Mysterio in front of a lively crowd in San Diego, and the highly anticipated women’s WarGames match, which brings together several ongoing feuds and plenty of tension.

Before I share my predictions for what’s likely to happen next, let’s quickly review how accurate my WWE predictions have been. I’ve made predictions for every premium live event (PLE) since WrestleMania 38, and I’ll highlight some of the bigger shows this year, along with my overall record.

Men’s WarGames Match: Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed vs Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jey Uso And Big Jim Uso

This match is tough to predict because WWE’s overall storyline feels unclear. The rivalry between Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed and the rest of Raw’s good guys has been going on for months. Adding to the complexity, their manager, Paul Heyman, has ongoing issues with both Roman Reigns and CM Punk. Plus, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre have recently battled for the world championship and are still rivals. There are potential storylines here, but they seem to be pulling in many different directions, making a clear outcome hard to see.

For months, I’ve been suggesting that WWE needs to build up The Vision as a stronger force. With Seth Rollins no longer leading the group, they should establish Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker as serious contenders for top spots. While they’ve hinted at this – Reed recently defeated Roman Reigns, and Breakker is expected to win the World Heavyweight Championship eventually – they need to do more to fully elevate them. Right now, they don’t quite feel like true main event players.

I’m hoping this will finally be the turning point for these wrestlers, but WWE’s leadership – Triple H, Bruce Prichard, and the team – often hesitates to make big decisions. Drew McIntyre has seemed poised to become a top champion again ever since his rivalry with CM Punk, yet he keeps falling short when it matters most. LA Knight has been incredibly popular with fans for a long time, but he’s never held a World Championship. So, while I want to believe the bad guys will take over and lead WWE in a fresh, exciting direction, I’ll need to see it happen before I’m convinced.

Predicted Winner: The Good Guys

The Women’s WarGames Match: Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky and AJ Lee Vs Becky Lynch, Kairi Sane, Asuka, Nia Jax and Lash Legend

Becky Lynch is currently having a fantastic run, and I’m enjoying her character work more now than ever – which is high praise considering how highly I think of her as a wrestler. The developing story between Asuka and Kairi Sane seems to be building towards a match at WrestleMania. I’m also pleased to see Lash Legend getting a chance on the main roster and believe she works well with Nia Jax, who has been impressive since returning. I’m really enjoying this villainous duo.

Let’s be real, this match is mostly about moving the storylines forward for the good guys. There’s been a lot of friction between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair, and most fans are anticipating that the partnerships of Charlotte and Alexa Bliss, and Rhea and Iyo Sky, will eventually fall apart – potentially even leading to matches at WrestleMania. However, I think it’s too soon for those relationships to end just yet, so I’m predicting the babyfaces will win this one.

Predicted Winner: The Faces

Stephanie Vaquer (Champion) Vs Nikki Bella For The Women’s World Championship

Nikki Bella is close in age to Charlotte Flair and Asuka, but she became famous as women’s wrestling was changing. It was moving from focusing on personalities and entertainment to prioritizing strong athletic performance in the ring. While Nikki is a capable wrestler and helped raise expectations for women’s matches, she sometimes feels more like a beloved veteran than a present-day WWE star.

It’s great to see veterans like Trish Stratus competing again, but I didn’t think she’d win the championship against Tiffany Stratton, and I feel the same way about Nikki Bella versus Stephanie Vaquer. While I can imagine Nikki potentially becoming champion again down the line, she needs to connect with the audience a bit more and show increased speed and intensity in her matches to reach that top-tier level.

I really love Nikki and I’m thrilled she’s back in WWE! It’s great to have her on TV regularly. However, I think she needs a compelling storyline that really connects with fans if she wants to reach the top level.

Predicted Winner: Stephanie Vaquer

John Cena (Champion) Vs Dominik Mysterio For The Intercontinental Championship

As a long-time wrestling fan, I’ve been thinking about Cena’s upcoming matches, and I find it helps to start at the end. This is probably going to be his second to last time in a WWE ring, so I keep wondering: will he actually defend the Intercontinental Championship in his final match? And more importantly, will he even lose that last match? It just feels strange to me that WWE might have him lose two matches in a row to close out such an incredible career.

That last question really hits the mark. While Sting had a great retirement match and many fans want to see Cena finish strong, I believe Cena is a traditionalist and would prefer to go out fighting, even in defeat. I predict he’ll likely lose to Gunther in his final match, making a win here particularly important for him.

Dominik Mysterio losing wouldn’t set him back at all, and could even help his career. He’s become a major star in wrestling, and he has the potential to move beyond competing for lower-level titles. He could realistically become a world champion, and even win the Royal Rumble. Ultimately, I expect John Cena to win this exciting, highly anticipated match.

Predicted Winner: John Cena
