I’m A Celeb spin-off host Joel Dommett gives pregnant model wife Hannah ‘the ick’ by sunbathing with his socks on

Hannah Cooper, Joel Dommett‘s wife, shared that she finds it strange – and a little off-putting – that he sunbathes while wearing socks.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! My absolute favorite TV host is in Australia right now, filming a special extra show about ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ with his wife, which is already amazing, but he’s already messed up! I heard he said something he shouldn’t have, and I’m dying to know what it was! I’m glued to every update, hoping it’s not too bad. Seriously, I can’t even breathe thinking about it!

Honestly, I’m a bit mortified by this whole situation! She was so upset with me because I put socks on to go sunbathing. We were heading up to the sun lounger, and I just… did it. Apparently, it really bothered her – she said it was a total ‘ick’ moment! I didn’t realize it was such a strange thing to do, but she definitely let me know.

Joel admitted he doesn’t like putting sunscreen on his feet. He explained that he once got a really bad sunburn on the soles of his feet while in Australia, and it was a terrible experience.

It comes weeks after Joel revealed his wife, Hannah, is pregnant with their second child.

The comedian announced he and his family are expecting a baby in an Instagram post just before they traveled to Australia. He’s there to host a companion show to ‘I’m A Celebrity.’

The photo featured Joel and Hannah with their two-year-old son Wilde, gently touching Hannah’s baby bump. They shared a playful caption: ‘Baby’s on the way! It’s tough to keep a secret with a toddler!’

Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s amazing! All of Joel’s friends were flooding the comments with congratulations! Sian Welby just wrote ‘CONGRATS!!’ with like, a million exclamation points, and Jess Wright was so sweet, she wrote ‘Aww you guys, congratulations.’ I’m seriously living for all the love!

Hannah messaged Joel on social media after seeing him on the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016. They quickly went on a first date and connected right away.

They got married three years after they first met, having a beautiful beach wedding in Mykonos. In September 2023, they had a son named Wilde.

Joel had mentioned before that Hannah and Wilde would be accompanying him to Australia while he hosts Unpacked alongside Kemi Rogers.

Oh my gosh, he told The Mirror it’s going to be so amazing this year! He’s finally bringing his family along, and just imagining him coming home from work to them melts my heart! And little Wilde is going to learn how to swim! Seriously, can life get any more perfect? It’s the little things, you know? I’m practically bursting with happiness just thinking about it!

I’m so happy they’ll be joining us. I’m hoping to spend some quality time with my family before I need to get to bed early – around 3:00 PM.

Joel mentioned he’s happy Hannah will be joining him on the trip. He explained that he always forgets to pack enough clothes and has to stop at a town along the way to buy more, usually around the halfway point.

I always pack too little, which drives my wife crazy. Eventually, you realize you just need to do laundry about once a week.

Hannah recently shared details about her marriage to comedian Joel in an interview with the Daily Mail. She explained that she’s learned to expect anything from him, as he often incorporates their personal life into his jokes and doesn’t really have any boundaries when it comes to sharing private moments.

Hannah recently told Daily Mail that she was surprised and upset to hear jokes about her breastfeeding and childbirth during one of Joel’s performances. She shared this ahead of launching her new jewelry line with Posh Totty Designs.

Before becoming involved with Wilde, I used to go to many more ‘work in progress’ performances. This allowed me to get a good sense of the material beforehand, which isn’t really possible now with my current schedule.

He finally went on tour, and it took until around the tenth show – luckily one that wasn’t too far from me – before I could actually go and see him perform. I was so excited!

I suddenly realized they were discussing very personal things about me – specifically, my experience with childbirth and breastfeeding. It felt quite invasive.

He brushed it off, saying everything was okay, but I pointed out he should have consulted me first. He then said it was too late to fix it, as the show had to go on.

She joked: ‘But I guess that does come with sort of marrying a comedian. 

It seems like everything gets discovered eventually, and with podcasts, all the information is already public, so it’s tough to be genuinely surprised by anything anymore.

I’m a huge fan, and I always playfully tease Joel about how much his career has taken off since he met Hannah. I’ll say to him, ‘Seriously, is it just a coincidence that things started going so well when you met me? Is that just random luck, or is there something more to it?’ It’s all in good fun, of course, but I definitely think Hannah has been a positive influence!

Joel and Kemi are back to host ‘I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked’ for another year, and the new cast for the show was revealed on Monday.

The new season of the show kicks off on Sunday with a star-studded lineup including Shona McGarty, Eddie Kadi, Aitch, Alex Scott, Jack Osbourne, Lisa Riley, Kelly Brook, Angry Ginge, Ruby Wax, and Martin Kemp all heading into the Australian jungle.
