Amanda Holden discovered that scammers used her name to trick a man, nearly causing him to lose his house. The fraudsters created a fake romance to steal his money.
TV personality, age 54, will appear on BBC’s Scam Interceptors to reveal scammers who were impersonating her, working alongside host Rav Wilding.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Some awful person tried to trick this poor guy – a total fan, like me! – out of his house! They pretended to be Amanda, can you imagine?! They tried to convince him to sell everything just so they could… ‘live with her.’ It’s just sickening that someone would exploit a fan’s feelings like that and cost him thousands. I’m so glad he didn’t fall for it, but it’s terrifying to think how close he came to losing everything because of this con artist pretending to be her.
As a huge fan, I was so upset to hear what happened. Apparently, the police told Amanda Holden about it, and she immediately said she felt a real personal responsibility to make sure he was okay. It just shows what a kind person she is, always thinking of others.
Speaking on the programme, she explained: ‘The scammers were going to pocket all his money.
Luckily, he realized his mistake just in time and decided not to sell his house. He understood that we didn’t have a romantic connection.

Amanda explained that discovering her online profile was being misused for scams led her to want to use it for positive purposes. She hoped by highlighting Scam Awareness Week, she could help others and turn a negative situation into something good.
She confronted the scammer, dubbed ‘Scamanda’ in the episode and added: ‘I can’t stand injustice.
People who know me well tell me I’m always willing to stand up for what I believe in or help others. Because of that, and after recently experiencing something similar myself, I felt strongly about getting involved.
I’m so excited to join Scam Interceptors – getting to witness the scams as they happen is fantastic! Scammers, be warned – Amanda is on the case.
Elsewhere, Amanda is currently working on a music project with iconic producer David Foster.
Last month, the actress and TV star posted two photos on Instagram from her family vacation in Beverly Hills, hinting that she was also getting some work done while there.
A stylish blonde woman, wearing a blue striped shirt and tight jeans, was captured singing into a microphone while wearing headphones.
Another photo showed her smiling with David, a 75-year-old producer and musician known for his work with legends like Quincy Jones, Michael Bublé, Whitney Houston, and Chuck Berry.

Amanda began her music career by signing with Virgin EMI Records in 2019. The following year, she released her first album, ‘Songs from My Heart,’ through Universal Music, and it quickly became a success, reaching number four on the UK album charts.
Before performing her song “Not While I’m Around” on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020, she admitted she was extremely nervous.
After working with the behind-the-scenes team – the crew, sound engineers, and producers – for fifteen years, I really didn’t want to mess up performing in front of them. It was the most stressful experience of my life.
I was absolutely losing it seeing Amanda in the studio! She was giving everything she had, pouring her heart out while performing for a total legend. She hasn’t said what she’s working on, but believe me, it looked incredible. I just know this is going to be huge!
