Danny Dyer sparks a fresh feud with I’m A Celebrity’s Joel Dommett as he makes a VERY pointed remark about the ITV presenter

Danny Dyer recently caused a disagreement with Joel Dommett, the host of I’m A Celebrity, after making a critical comment about him.

Last week, 48-year-old actor and former EastEnders star hosted the ZYN Rolling Stone UK Awards at the Roundhouse in London.

While introducing his friend Mo Gilligan, he playfully teased Joel, who is 40, with a lighthearted jab.

During Mo’s introduction, he jokingly stated, ‘Let me tell you, he’s funnier than Joel Dommett.’

Joel hasn’t replied yet, as he’s currently working in Australia hosting the show ‘I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp’.

Joel was a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ back in 2016.

Danny and Joel were both on The One Show last year. Danny has also been to the National Television Awards, which Joel hosts.

Mo is one of the judges on The Masked Singer, a show Joel also hosts. When Danny came on stage, Mo didn’t react to his joke.

Danny has feuded with various other stars including former TOWIE star Mark Wright.

Danny and Mark’s conflict started back in 2013, when Danny accused Mark of being arrogant. It allegedly escalated into a physical altercation at a charity football match.

After that, a lot of arguing happened online, and family members from both sides joined in. This eventually led to a well-known fight at the V Festival in 2016.

He also got into a physical fight with film critic Mark Kermode, reportedly because of Kermode’s harsh reviews of his acting.

He used to describe Mark with a very harsh insult, admitting he didn’t understand why Mark disliked him so much.

We’ll cross paths eventually, but it won’t be a friendly reunion. I expect it’ll be a physical confrontation – a direct attack – and then he can continue with whatever he does, but with a broken nose. That would be fitting, wouldn’t it?

He has also had a feud with The Apprentice’s Lord Sugar.

The situation began on Twitter in August 2016 when Danny Dyer used offensive language towards Lord Sugar. This happened after Sugar criticized Dyer’s character on EastEnders and the show’s scripts.

Danny spoke about Joel shortly after Joel announced he and his wife, Hannah, are expecting their second child.

The comedian announced he and his family are expecting a baby in an Instagram post shared earlier this month, just before they were set to travel to Australia.

The photo featured Joel and Hannah with their two-year-old son Wilde, gently touching Hannah’s baby bump. The caption playfully read, ‘Baby in mumma tummy. It’s tough to keep secrets when you have a toddler!’

Lots of Joel’s celebrity friends sent their congratulations online. Sian Welby simply wrote ‘CONGRATS!!’ and Jess Wright added, ‘Aww you guys, congratulations.’

Hannah reached out to Joel on social media after seeing him on the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016, and they quickly went on their first date. They connected right away.

They got married three years later in a beautiful beach ceremony in Mykonos, and in September 2023, they had a son named Wilde.

Joel had mentioned before that Hannah and Wilde would be traveling to Australia with him while he hosts Unpacked alongside Kemi Rogers.

He shared with The Mirror that he’s bringing his family along this year, and he’s really looking forward to spending time with them after work. He’s especially excited to watch his child, Wilde, learn how to swim.

I’m so happy they’ll be joining us. I’m hoping to spend some quality time with family before I have to get to bed early – around 3 in the afternoon.
