I was really surprised to hear Andy Cohen mention that he and Kathy Griffin had finally emailed after eight years! And honestly, it was fascinating to read Kathy’s side of things. She didn’t hold back about how challenging he was to work with, calling him a ‘difficult boss,’ but it felt really honest and raw. It gave a lot of context to why things went south between them, from her perspective.
The comedian, 64, shared during her Saturday night show at The Grove of Anaheim that someone sent her a lengthy email late at night, and part of it was actually quite pleasant.
You know, I’ve been following this closely, and it seems like he definitely had his legal team look everything over. It was written in a way that made it clear he expected me to eventually share it with an audience – he absolutely knew that. He didn’t offer a full apology, but it was this weird, almost defiant ‘I’m sorry if you’re upset, but I stand by my actions’ kind of statement. Overall, the tone was surprisingly polite, though still firm.
Griffin said she’s tired of fighting and recognizes the Real Housewives producer, age 57, has a lot of influence.
‘I wish I were back at Bravo,’ the two-time Emmy winner said.
I really enjoyed working there, especially being able to create special projects. I replied to him almost immediately, and I was feeling pretty emotional about it all.

Griffin became upset on November 14th after hearing Cohen talk about their situation at BravoCon. During a Q&A session, Cohen mentioned that he and Kathy had exchanged emails, hinting at a possible reconciliation.
‘I’m like, hold on girl!’ the Talk Your Head Off podcaster reacted.
It’s been eight years since you last contacted me, and it really stung that you took my job and got me fired from Bravo, especially right on New Year’s Eve. I honestly don’t want to argue, but that whole situation really hurt my feelings. I’m just not sure what the future holds.
Griffin concluded: ‘Let’s go with “maybe.”‘
According to a source close to the author of The Daddy Diaries, he’s very worried about having the Grammy-winning artist on his show, fearing he won’t be able to manage her behavior. This information was shared with Rob Shuter of the National Enquirer last week.
‘Andy’s image is carefully curated, and Kathy knows too much,’ the insider alleged.
He prefers to avoid any potential confrontation and doesn’t want to put himself in a difficult situation on live television. A reunion on the show would likely be its most popular episode ever, but he fears it could also be Andy’s last as host.
I remember when Griffin and Cohen first connected – it was back in 2009, while he was overseeing nine episodes of my show, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Honestly, he was a pretty tough boss at the time, but we got the job done during seasons five and six!
The comedian, known for her red hair, received six Emmy nominations for her reality show and won the award in both 2007 and 2008. However, despite this success, she wasn’t able to get her desired talk show on Bravo.
In a 2017 video explaining her side of the story, Griffin said she had no idea Andy Cohen was trying to replace her.

I was surprised when The D-List ended and I really wanted to host my own talk show. It turned out Andy Cohen became the first TV executive ever to create and get a talk show of his own on the air—and it keeps getting renewed season after season!
The comedian, originally from Illinois, said the man from Missouri consistently belittled and harassed women, and that he personally experienced mistreatment and poor behavior from him.
The most shocking claim in Griffin’s video was that Andy Cohen supposedly offered her cocaine twice while she was backstage at Embassy Row during her four appearances on his Bravo talk show, Watch What Happens Live.
The actress said that neither Jimmy Kimmel nor Seth Meyers had ever asked her to use cocaine before appearing on their shows, and no one from ‘The View’ had either. She was hoping the person who suggested she had was joking.
The second time I performed the show, it happened again. We were alone in an office near Embassy Row, and he asked if I wanted to do cocaine. I was shocked! I immediately thought he’d claim he was joking, but he was genuinely offering me cocaine.
I felt really uneasy being alone with him in a room – Michael Davies wasn’t around, and no one from the show’s production team was there either. That experience is actually why I avoid appearing on that show. I just thought the whole situation was strange, and I’m not sure why he’s allowed to behave that way.

Cohen, best known as the producer of Top Chef (his only Emmy win), publicly denied knowing Andy Griffin in a memorable interview with TMZ. He also tweeted that the story was completely untrue and fabricated.
After facing backlash in 2017 for a photoshoot where she posed with a mask of President Donald Trump covered in ketchup, the lung cancer survivor struggled with addiction and attempted suicide in 2020.
Griffin found herself under government scrutiny, leading to being banned from flying, an FBI visit, and the loss of her sponsorships, comedy tour, and her prominent role co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
Okay, so you will NOT believe what I just found out about her! Our queen just went ALL OUT on some serious self-care – and by self-care, I mean a FULL glow-up! Apparently, she dropped a whopping $218,000 on a cosmetic makeover with this amazing doctor, Dr. Ben Talei. We’re talking a third facelift, plus she got her eyelids done, this incredible ‘foxy eye’ lift, and even some work on her chin! Honestly, she looks AMAZING, and I’m obsessed. It’s good to see her prioritizing herself, and honestly, she deserves it all!
Comedian Griffin will be performing her New Face, New Tour at the Uptown Theatre in Napa, California on January 9th.
