John Travolta has proven the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree.
John Travolta, 71, marked his son’s 15th birthday by sharing a photo of him in the beautiful Norwegian village of Reine. Many fans have noted the teenager strongly resembles his famous dad.
John Travolta shared a birthday message for his son, Ben, on Sunday, expressing his amazement at how fast time has flown and sharing his love for him.
Last week Travolta shared another image in which the family resemblance was touchingly uncanny.
John Travolta shared a heartwarming video on Instagram this week showing him and his son, Benjamin, hiking through the snowy mountains of Norway.
His son walked slowly uphill to a spot with stunning views of the Scandinavian countryside.

Oh my gosh, you guys, John Travolta just posted the sweetest video of his son, Ben! He wrote, ‘Ain’t no mountain high enough for my son Ben. Love from Norway,’ and it seriously melted my heart. He set it to that classic Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell song – you know, the one from ’67? It just made the whole thing even more perfect, honestly. I’m obsessed!
John Travolta and his late wife, Kelly Preston, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2020 at age 57, are parents to a son named Benjamin.
They had three children: Benjamin, Ella, who is 25, and Jett, who sadly passed away at the age of 16 in 2009.
Jett had seizures in the past, and sadly, he experienced one while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas. He hit his head on the bathtub during the seizure and passed away.
John Travolta honored his late son, Jett, who would have turned 33 this April, with a heartfelt Instagram post. He wrote, ‘Happy birthday Jett – I miss you so much! Love you forever!’
The family mourned another loss when Preston passed away in July 2020, following a two-year battle with breast cancer.
Travolta shared the news of her passing and expressed gratitude to the medical professionals who provided care, saying, ‘My family and I are eternally thankful to the doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and to everyone who helped along the way.’
The announcement sparked speculation that Travolta and Preston had distanced themselves from Scientology, a religion whose founder, L. Ron Hubbard, opposed treatments like chemotherapy and radiation.
Despite some beliefs, the Church of Scientology’s website actually encourages members to see doctors and get standard medical care when they are sick or hurt.
To mark what would have been Preston’s 63rd birthday last month, Travolta shared a photo of her alongside a recording of him singing the classic love song “Come Rain or Come Shine.” Many famous artists, including Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald, have performed the song over the years.

John, Ella, and Ben wrote a message saying they recorded a song for Kelly as a birthday gift and wanted to share it with everyone. They finished with, ‘Happy birthday Kelly, we love you!’
In a 2021 interview with Esquire Spain, John Travolta openly shared his experiences with grief after the loss of Kelly Preston.
He explained that grief is a deeply personal experience. Everyone mourns in their own way, and allowing yourself to go through that individual process is key to healing.
John Travolta noted that the best way to support someone who is grieving is to let them experience their sorrow without adding your own feelings to the situation.
The actor described a painful experience: Imagine you’re grieving at a funeral, and someone else approaches, overwhelmed by their own sadness, and doesn’t allow you room to process your own grief. He said it felt like both of you were sinking, a shared and overwhelming experience of sorrow.
I was overwhelmed by everyone else’s sadness and didn’t know how to cope. He explained that when you’re grieving, the best first step is to find a private space where you can mourn without being disturbed.
