Glenn Close, the lead actress in the new series All’s Fair, has responded to criticism after the show received largely negative reviews. Despite attracting 3.2 million viewers worldwide on Hulu within its first three days, the legal drama received a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Despite a slight increase in its score to 3% based on 30 reviews, All’s Fair continues to receive mostly negative feedback online, with The Nightly calling it “unwatchable.” However, the show’s creator has encouraged viewers to keep watching, promising that the plot improves as the series progresses.
The actor spoke to Variety about the negative reviews, explaining that critics had formed their opinions too soon.

In the new film All’s Fair, Kim Kardashian plays Allura Grant, a lawyer at a thriving Los Angeles firm. She works with colleagues Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts) and Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash-Betts) at Grant Ronson Greene & Associates. The firm specializes in divorce cases, helping women deal with powerful husbands and navigate difficult splits.
Besides navigating challenging relationships with men, Allura constantly clashes with her longtime rival, Carrington Lane (Sarah Paulson). Carrington knows exactly how to provoke her, leaving Allura to struggle through what promises to be her most difficult and emotional divorce yet.
During the interview, Close also complimented Kim, the reality star, on being a professional and hardworking co-star. Close was particularly impressed by how dedicated Kim was to the show.
She consistently memorized her lines, arrived on time, and was always well-prepared. While she didn’t consider herself a brilliant actress, she was astute enough to surround herself with people from whom she could learn.
Close explained that he would have been upset if his partner had been arrogant or someone who didn’t prioritize enjoying life, but fortunately, she isn’t like that.
The actor believes Kim Kardashian’s reputation as a reality TV personality probably led to the show being poorly reviewed. She pointed out that the Kardashians are aware not everyone is a fan, and they’ve built a specific public image.
