Gumayusi will be playing for Hanwha Life Esports starting with the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea season. This marks a new chapter for the player, who began his professional career with T1 in 2019.
Hanwha Life Esports has signed Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung, a three-time world champion and former player for T1. With Gumayusi joining the team, Hanwha Life Esports has finalized its roster and is aiming to become a top League of Legends team.
Welcome to HLE, Gumayusi!
So, T1 just announced Gumayusi was leaving, and now Hanwha Life Esports has officially signed him up for the 2026 LCK season! It’s pretty exciting to see where he’ll go and how he’ll perform with his new team.
I’m super hyped to hear that Gumayusi is joining Hanwha Life Esports! From what I’ve seen, he’s an incredible player with a ton of experience, and I really think he’s going to help the team level up. HLE is asking for our support as they start this new chapter with him in the 2026 season, and honestly, I’m already on board – can’t wait to see what they accomplish!
Gumayusi has spent his entire pro career with T1, making HLE just the second team he’s played for since he started in 2019. He’ll now be reunited with his old top laner, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je.
He’s taking over for Park “Viper” Do-hyeon, who played for HLE for three years. Viper is a highly skilled player, having won the World Championship in 2021 while playing for the Chinese team EDward Gaming. While his next team isn’t official yet, many believe he’ll return to the LPL.
Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan will take Gumayusi’s newly vacated spot in T1.
HLE roster in 2026
Hanwha Life Esports needed a new jungler after Han “Peanut” Wang-ho retired and began his mandatory military service following their Worlds 2025 elimination. They’ve brought in Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok to fill the role. This is Kanavi’s comeback to the LCK after a short and challenging period with Griffin in 2019.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team (and coach) have all extended their contracts.
- Top: Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
- Jungle: Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok (NEW!)
- Mid: Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo
- Bot: Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung (NEW!)
- Support: Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong
