The Australian social media personality who disrupted Ariana Grande’s appearance at the Singapore premiere of ‘Wicked’ has been sent home, recent reports say.
Johnson Wen, 26, has been sent home to Australia, Singaporean news network CNA reported on Sunday.
According to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Johnson Wen was deported to Australia on November 23, 2025, and is now prohibited from returning to Singapore, CNA reports.
Wen was arrested and held in jail for nine days in Singapore after approaching singer and actress Ariana Grande on the red carpet.
As a lifestyle expert, I was shocked to hear about the incident at the Singapore film premiere! Apparently, Ariana Grande and other stars were there on November 13th when a fan managed to get past security and actually put his arm around her. It was a scary moment for everyone involved, and a reminder of how important security is at these events.
A video quickly spread online shows the content creator, nicknamed ‘Pyjama Man,’ suddenly moving towards Ariana Grande and putting his arm around her, even though she appeared to be trying to break free.

Ariana Grande was walking with her co-star Cynthia Erivo when a man ran towards them. Erivo quickly stepped in front of Grande, protecting her from the potential threat.
Wen is known for disrupting events by aggressively approaching celebrities, often leading to his removal by security. He was arrested on November 14th and charged with disturbing the peace.
Wen posted a video on his Instagram Story showing the moment he joined Ariana Grande on the yellow carpet, thanking her for letting him do so.
Strange videos taken before the incident show him expressing his lifelong dream of meeting the singer.
Gazing up at a poster of Ariana Grande in ‘Wicked,’ Wen exclaimed, ‘This feels like a dream! I can’t believe I’m about to meet my best friend, Ariana Grande!’
‘I’ve been dreaming about that,’ he added before doing a theatrical laugh.
Following the incident, Wen posted on Instagram, stating he was ‘free’ after Grande’s fans saw security guards tackle him.
District Judge Christopher Goh stated that Wen’s actions were planned in advance, and then sentenced him to nine days in prison on November 17.

The punishment is much less than the legal maximum, which includes up to three months in jail, a $1,500 fine, or both.
Wen, appearing on video while wearing a simple white shirt, initially looked puzzled when the charges were read. However, she then admitted guilt.
The judge stated that Wen has previously caused problems at other sporting events and concerts, and believes this pattern of behavior indicates he is likely to do so again.
Goh pointed out that the actions appeared to be motivated by a desire for attention, showing a disregard for the well-being of those around them.
He told Wen he was ‘wrong’ to think his actions would bear no consequences.
‘You should be mindful that there are always consequences for one’s actions.’
When asked if he wanted to explain anything before sentencing, Wen told the judge he wouldn’t repeat his offense and promised to stay out of trouble.
Goh stated that the court needed to clearly show others that Singapore will not tolerate any actions that could harm its reputation as a safe place.

Already behind bars for four days at the time, Wen had another five to serve.
Wen often attends events uninvited, and most recently surprised fans by showing up at The Weeknd’s concert in Melbourne last August.
In July, security removed him from The Chainsmokers’ concert in Sydney. Before that, in June, he unexpectedly rushed the stage during Katy Perry’s Sydney performance.
Wen’s wild behavior isn’t limited to concerts and actors; he’s also famously run onto the field during major sporting events.
He caused disruptions at major sporting events, delaying the start of the 100m Olympic Final at the Paris 2024 games and interrupting the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
In the same year, he tried to run naked across the field during the FIFA Women’s World Cup, but he stumbled and was quickly removed by security.
Wen seems to enjoy unexpectedly showing up at events, even referring to himself as an ‘invader’ and ‘the most hated troll’ online.
He posts videos of his daring acts and news coverage of them, along with footage of himself causing disturbances on trains and in public places like shopping malls.
I’ve been following this guy, the streaker, and it’s honestly wild. He’s actually asking people for money on his Instagram through a GoFundMe – basically, he’s asking fans to help him pay all his bills! It’s a pretty bold move, to say the least.
