Strictly and I’m a Celeb stars confirmed for ITV series with “laughter, dancing, and a bit of chaos”

Oti Mabuse, Dean McCullough, and Barry McGuigan, who all appeared together on I’m a Celebrity, are teaming up again for a new ITV show called The Great Escapers. The travel program explores why a Jet2holiday is so popular, and the first episode will follow Mabuse, McCullough, and McGuigan as they travel to The Algarve.

On Sunday, November 23rd, after I’m a Celebrity airs, there will be another episode featuring Coronation Street stars Maureen Lipman, Tanisha Gorey, and Andy Whyment as they head to Malta. The following episode will then take viewers to Rhodes with contestants from The Chase, including Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, and Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace.

For the last episode, Loose Women panelists Katie Piper, Denise Welch, and Sunetra Sarker are heading to Costa Brava.

A synopsis hints that viewers will soon find out if the spark between two stars seen on ITV and during a Jet2holidays trip translates from the screen to real life, as they embark on their first vacation together.

After working together for years, this group is putting their friendship to the test with a vacation! They’re heading off for some sunshine with Jet2holiday, and Gio, their helpful customer support contact, is making sure they have a memorable trip.

Before The Great Escapers premiered, Mabuse shared her reaction to working with McCullough and McGuigan again. She said she both screamed and laughed when she found out, knowing their strong personalities meant it wouldn’t be a calm and easy experience.

I was really looking forward to a trip filled with fun, dancing, and a little bit of craziness with my friends – a proper break from all the jungle adventures! I’d been to The Algarve before, but this time it felt totally fresh and new. Seriously, it’s a gorgeous place – sunshine, incredible food, and everyone was so welcoming, especially Gio from Jet2holidays who was a legend.

Mabuse shared some fun memories from their trip, starting with a lively dance class she arranged by the river with a local Portuguese group. She described a joyful scene filled with music, dancing, and laughter, with Dean channeling Beyoncé and Barry playfully pretending he had two left feet – though secretly enjoying himself. Mabuse said it really set the vibe for the entire trip! Dean then organized a small club night that she called iconic, turning a calm day into a concert with everyone sharing the microphone. Barry also surprised them with his unexpected but great music choices.

The Great Escapers will debut on ITV1 on Sunday, 23 November at 7pm.
