Could Fergie find a new palace… in Beatrice’s cattle shed?

There’s been talk of Sarah Ferguson moving to Portugal after she leaves Royal Lodge, but I’ve learned she might actually stay closer to home and consider another option.

Princess Beatrice has finished renovating a separate building on her £3.5 million country estate in the Cotswolds, and it could become a new home for her mother, Sarah Ferguson, who is currently looking for a place to live.

Before Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi purchased the property in 2021, the previous owners had transformed what was once a cattle shed into a living space.

Neighbors say the small, one-bedroom building attached to the main house has recently been completely renovated. They replaced the doors and windows, and painted everything a classic Cotswolds green. The annexe is located across a courtyard lined with cypress trees from the six-bedroom house.

According to a source, the little extension is finally finished and move-in ready. It would be ideal for Fergie, as it’s been fully updated – they’ve repointed all the stonework, fixed the gutters, and painted the wood. Plus, it has a separate entrance.

The road was temporarily closed today to allow a propane delivery for the extension, and this happened right as the weather turned colder.

Someone important is about to arrive. While the building doesn’t look impressive from the outside, I’m sure the interior is beautiful.

A comfortable home in the popular Cotswolds seems like a much more appealing choice for Fergie than the isolated Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where her ex-husband Andrew is reportedly going.
