This country singer is quickly becoming famous, but he’s also known for creating drama. He’s had public disagreements with other artists, including fellow country star Zach Bryan and even Beyoncé.
Gavin Adcock, 27, started making music in 2021 and is now gaining recognition, though not because of typical country themes or the lively atmosphere at his shows where fans often toss beers.
A Georgia-based singer is currently facing criticism for public disagreements with other country musicians, even getting into a near-physical altercation with one. He also upset many fans with a harsh comment about Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ album, using offensive language to suggest he’s challenging her.
Even with some recent controversies, Adcock is becoming more well-known. He was recently a guest on Bunnie XO’s ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, where he talked about his unique path to fame and explained why he refuses to compromise.
Adcock shared with Bunnie, wife of country artist Jelly Roll, that he likes to speak his mind freely, and this directness has become a key part of how people see him.
Even though his album has been successful, he’s often found himself in trouble with the law and continues to be a controversial figure, whether he’s being arrested or involved in disputes with other artists at music festivals.
The Daily Mail has the exclusive story on the real reason behind his famous fight with Bryan, and what he thinks about their latest disagreement.

Blake Adcock has a history of attracting attention for the wrong reasons. He first became well-known – and not in a good way – when a video circulated online showing him drinking beer while standing on a moving bus before a Georgia Southern University football game. This led to his removal from the team in 2021 due to his reckless behavior.
Riley Adcock, raised on his family’s cattle farm, recently released his album, Own Worst Enemy, to great success with country music fans. It debuted at number four on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and several of its songs have already gone gold or platinum.
In May, Adcock was arrested in Tennessee for reckless driving and having an open container in his vehicle. He spent a night in jail but the charges were eventually dropped. He later turned the experience into a song called “Morning Bail,” where he humorously describes waking up with a bruise from the handcuffs and sharing coffee with the police, even playfully suggesting he wanted a mugshot photo.
Country musicians often find themselves in legal trouble, and Luke Bryan is no exception. He even joked about his own arrest by using his mugshot as the cover art for his Spotify playlist, ‘Outlaw.’ Ultimately, the case was dismissed after Bryan fulfilled the terms of a legal agreement.
Let me tell you, things got pretty tense at the Born and Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma on September 13th. I heard there was a real standoff between two singers – they were arguing back and forth across the chain link fence and almost came to blows! It was definitely a dramatic moment, and thankfully, things didn’t escalate further.
The Daily Mail has received information from a source familiar with both singers about their feelings concerning the recent, widely reported argument.
The source said Bryan thinks ‘Gavin is a piece of you know what’ and ‘hates him.’
According to a source, a physical altercation is likely if Bryan and his opponent are ever in the same location. The source described Bryan as arrogant and self-assured, stating he doesn’t hesitate to confront anyone who disagrees with him.
According to a source, Adcock isn’t the only one having issues with Zach. Most people in the country music scene following this conflict support Gavin, as Zach consistently seems to be involved in creating drama.
Bryan recently apologized for a tweet he made about Taylor Swift and has repeatedly found himself in disagreements related to his former girlfriend, Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia.
Let me tell you, things really escalated between Adcock and Bryan when a video surfaced of their confrontation. It showed Bryan challenging Adcock to ‘fight like a man’ and then actually climbing over a fence! Security had to step in and hold Bryan back while they guided Adcock away from the situation. It all blew up pretty quickly once that video went viral, of course.
Adcock then shared a video on Instagram criticizing Bryan, even giving him the nickname ‘Sack Cryin’.’ He stated he doesn’t believe Bryan, 29, is a good person and claimed Bryan had made offensive remarks.
Adcock said he didn’t want to fight because he was about to perform. He explained that any artist who cares about their fans wouldn’t risk missing their set and disappointing people who had paid a lot of money to attend.

I wasn’t angry at all – there was no point in fighting him,” Adcock explained. “I’m an adult, and a fight would have meant getting arrested, missing my performance, and potentially getting sued by Zach Bryan.
Adcock ended the video by saying, ‘I’ll be praying for him to get better ’cause he sure needs it.’
Their showdown was a few months in the making, as they first started quarreling in July.
Adcock criticized Bryan’s behavior after learning a 14-year-old fan was upset. The fan had waited for hours to meet Bryan and didn’t receive an autograph.
Bryan reacted to a young fan’s request for a photo and greeting by telling them they weren’t owed one after he’d played for two and a half hours. He also used the offensive acronym ‘GOMD,’ which stands for ‘get off my d’.
Adcock disapproved of the comment and took to X to air his grievances.
Honestly, it really bothers me when someone I admire gets upset by a little criticism, especially from a young fan. This kid was so excited to meet them, and their family clearly spent a lot to be there. It makes you wonder why we put these people on a pedestal if they can’t handle a bit of honest feedback from someone who looks up to them.
He also has feelings, and you’re almost 30 – an adult. He’s the only reason you’re still here, he explained.
This week, Adcock replied to a post by Bryan about his sobriety, briefly mentioning, ‘We all know when he made that decision,’ before deleting the comment.

Adcock also clashed with Charley Crockett, who criticized Adcock’s strong opinions about Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning album, Cowboy Carter.
In June 2025, Adcock launched into an angry, profanity-filled rant during a concert, reportedly because Beyoncé’s album, Cowboy Carter, was outperforming his own new release on Apple Music’s Country chart.
Adcock discussed the rankings and jokingly declared they were aiming to surpass Beyoncé, adding a provocative comment about challenging her dominance.
He strongly declared that the music wasn’t country, hadn’t ever been country, and never would be, punctuating his statement by lifting a bottle towards the audience.
Crockett, 41, jumped to Beyoncé’s defense.
In a post on Instagram from August 19th, musician Crockett – whose heritage includes Black, Cajun, Creole, and Jewish roots – explained that people shouldn’t blame Beyoncé for their frustrations with modern country music. He believes the real issue is the 25 years of a trend often called ‘bro country.’
Crockett didn’t mention Adcock by name, but he stated he wouldn’t diminish a Black woman to promote his own music, calling such behavior ’embarrassing to the idea of America’ and saying he has ‘no respect for it’.
Adcock felt Crockett was intentionally making fun of him, so he called Crockett a ‘costume cowboy’ as a comeback. During a concert opening for Morgan Wallen, Adcock displayed a Crockett shirt while Wallen responded by raising two middle fingers.

Adcock’s outbursts aren’t limited to country music figures. He recently had a public argument with a sound technician from the band Nickelback at the Rock the Country festival in Anderson, South Carolina.
The disagreement escalated when a technician and Adcock’s father got into a fight during the singer’s performance, and the whole incident was recorded and became popular on TikTok.
Let’s be real, I was horrified to hear the incredibly harsh and unprofessional language used recently. Someone was recorded saying something along the lines of, ‘Hey, you’re going to lose your job, you’re an idiot, and you better get back there.’ It was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable behavior – no one deserves to be spoken to like that, ever. It’s a stark reminder that respectful communication is absolutely essential, even – and especially – when things are stressful.
In a video explaining what happened, Adcock said he saw someone about to confront his father and intervened. He ran to tell security that his father was the one causing the trouble, and they then escorted his father away.
Throughout everything, his girlfriend Haley Larkin, 23, a social media influencer, has remained supportive, sharing affectionate photos of them together despite the singer’s controversies.
Larkin shared some photos with the caption ‘Home is wherever you are,’ and Adcock sweetly responded with just one word: ‘Darlin’.’
The Daily Mail has contacted reps for Adcock and Bryan for comment, but has not heard back.
