Davina McCall reveals she is feeling ‘super positive’ as she returns to running for the first time after her cancer treatment

Davina McCall shared on Instagram Saturday that she’s feeling very optimistic about getting back to running, following her recent breast cancer treatment.

The 58-year-old TV star revealed in November 2024 that doctors had found a colloid cyst, which is a rare brain tumor.

She bravely endured a gruelling six-hour operation to remove the 14mm cyst.

Roughly a year later, on November 8th, she shared that she’d been diagnosed with breast cancer six weeks prior. She had found a lump while filming The Masked Singer and fortunately, the surgery to treat it was successful.

Davina has now revealed that she has restarted running again as she completed her first jog.

She posted a selfie to social media, looking happy and smiling while wearing a red beanie.

She excitedly wrote about getting back to running, saying it felt like starting over and was a great boost for her mental well-being, leaving her feeling really positive.

Okay, so Davina said they found it so early, which is amazing, but she also mentioned she’ll still need radiation treatment. I’m just glued to every update, and honestly, even though it’s scary, hearing it was caught early gives me so much hope for her! I’m sending all my positive vibes her way.

In a recent, honest video, the celebrity explained she was sharing her experience to support others, similar to how she spoke openly when she had surgery for a rare, non-cancerous brain tumor in November 2024.

She first noticed the lump while filming the ITV singing show. Later, a notice in the restrooms at the Lorraine studios prompted her to get it checked by a doctor.

Davina shared that she recently discovered she has breast cancer. She noticed a lump a few weeks ago that would appear and disappear.

While I was filming The Masked Singer, the Lorraine show put up signs in the restrooms reminding people to check for breast cancer. Every time I used the bathroom, I checked myself, and I noticed something was still there.

I recently had a biopsy that confirmed I had breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy to remove it almost three weeks ago.

Davina shared an update on her surgery, explaining that doctors confirmed she’s fully recovered.

Oh my gosh, he actually said it! He was talking about this tiny little thing they found – he got it taken care of SO early, he said he feels incredibly lucky! I’m just breathing a sigh of relief with him that it was caught and removed before it could spread. Seriously, I’m so glad he’s okay!

Even though she received positive news, Davina will still undergo five days of radiotherapy in January as a precaution to help ensure the cancer doesn’t return.

She expressed her gratitude to the medical staff, her family, and her fiancé, Michael Douglas. She then shared that while she was initially furious upon learning of her diagnosis, she’s now moved past that anger and feels much more optimistic.
