Nina Dobrev, known for her role in The Vampire Diaries, is set to star in and executive produce a new erotic thriller called Night Float. The series is based on a play called Vertebrae by Lila Raicek, who also wrote the TV adaptation.
According to Deadline, the show is a fast-paced and compelling look at themes of desire, power, obsession, and betrayal.
The plot follows a woman who moves to New York to live in hospital housing with her boyfriend.

I got pulled into this crazy situation where I started working with an older doctor. He talked me into becoming a ‘runner’ – basically, someone who delivers information – in this super shady, illegal world of insider trading. It was way more dangerous than any game I’ve ever played.
The question is: has she gotten in over her head?

At the time of writing, other cast members or a network/streaming platform have not been announced.
Dobrev has another project coming up, having just finished filming the action thriller Bear Country alongside Russell Crowe.
She’s also joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy, It Happened One Summer, alongside Tyler Hoechlin, known for his roles in Superman & Lois and Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Virginia Gardner from Halloween.

A little over a year ago, Dobrev revealed she was engaged to Shaun White, the Olympic gold-winning snowboarder.
In September, People magazine reported that the couple had broken up after five years together. Fans noticed she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring and that she had removed their engagement announcement from Instagram. While neither has publicly confirmed the split, the magazine said it was a mutual and friendly decision.
The popular show The Vampire Diaries aired from 2009 to 2017. The story continued with two spin-off series, The Originals and Legacies, which ran until 2022.
