I’ve noticed some recent photos circulating of Liev Schreiber, and it’s good to see him out and about! It looks like he’s doing much better after a brief hospital stay earlier this week. It’s always reassuring to see someone bounce back, and he seems to be doing just that.
The actor known for his role in Ray Donovan was taken to a hospital in New York City because he was suffering from a severe headache.
On Thursday evening the movie star was spotted in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan.
He was wearing a green Irish Whiskey cap, a brown corduroy jacket, and matching pants, and his wedding ring was on his finger.
The actor had a mustache and short beard as he walked down the street carrying a brown bag. People didn’t seem to recognize him.
Okay, so he finally talked about that scary headache he’s been having! Apparently, it was bad enough that the doctors had to run all sorts of tests on him – a whole battery of them, he said! I was so worried, and it’s a relief to finally hear something, even if it’s just that they’re checking everything out.

Oh my gosh, I was SO worried, but Liev is okay! His team just told the Daily Mail he’s doing much better. They said he went to the hospital just to be safe and get checked out, but he’s been given the all-clear to get back to work! I’m seriously relieved. He’s just the best, and I couldn’t imagine anything happening to him!
I’ve been following this project closely! The actor was recently in Philadelphia shooting a new thriller for Apple TV+. It’s based on ‘Killer Instinct,’ a hugely popular book by Lars Kepler, and I’m so excited to see how it turns out.
According to a source at the Daily Mail, Liev Schreiber is reportedly upset and embarrassed by the public attention surrounding his recent hospital visit. He’s particularly bothered that people found out he was treated for a headache, as he fears it makes him appear vulnerable at a time when his career is thriving.
Honestly, I’m just so relieved to hear he’s doing better! He said the pain was absolutely unbearable, and I was seriously worried. I’m so thankful for the doctors who took care of him, they’re amazing. Just knowing he’s feeling better makes me feel so much better too!
The celebrity was able to walk around normally on Monday and was subsequently discharged from the hospital, according to reports.
It’s not the first time the actor has had a health scare related to a headache.

While performing in the Broadway play ‘Doubt: A Parable’ in 2024, he experienced a temporary memory loss caused by a migraine and was later diagnosed with a rare condition called transient global amnesia.
Transient Global Amnesia (TGA) is a rare and harmless condition where someone suddenly experiences temporary memory loss, but fully recovers within a day, explains the Cleveland Clinic.
‘The worst nightmare that an actor could possibly ever experience. I was in my dressing room and I had a terrible headache. I thought it was maybe a fast-food headache, but it felt a little stronger than that,’ he shared during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
‘I’m walking down the stairs and I’m thinking, “This is not normal. I don’t feel okay.”‘
He realized something was seriously off when he spotted his co-star, Amy Ryan, behind the scenes, but surprisingly couldn’t recall her name.

His condition worsened when he stepped back onstage and could not remember his lines.
He said everything was slipping away – he’d forgotten the play completely. He was aware he was acting, but couldn’t remember what the story was.
My doctor, a friend of mine, arrived looking absolutely terrified. Then my wife came in, and she was clearly scared too. That’s when it hit me – I realized I must have had a stroke.
Even though doctors said Schreiber had Transient Global Amnesia, he was convinced he’d had a stroke.
He told me this would be a one-time thing and would disappear within a day, but I didn’t think so. Honestly, I tend to worry a lot about my health, and I was sure I’d had a stroke that the doctors had missed.
Schreiber shared that an MRI scan showed no signs of bleeding in his brain, and that his brain appeared healthy.
‘Apparently it’s brought on by migraines and rigorous coitus,’ he quipped.
He said he’d wake up each morning with the entire play fresh in his mind. He never forgot it again. He’d been worried about appearing dishonest or like he was skipping work at the theater, and that’s why he was so embarrassed.

Meyers made a playful comment, suggesting it was unfortunate the Emmy-nominated actor experienced temporary genital anesthesia from a migraine, rather than from sexual activity.
Schreiber joked, ‘Honestly, after considering the alternative – which is a pretty gruesome thought – I was relieved it was just a migraine!’
Liev Schreiber is widely recognized for his leading role as Ray Donovan in the Showtime crime drama of the same name, which ran from 2013 to 2020.
Originally from San Francisco, she married Taylor Neisen in July 2023. They first met in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Hazel Bee, in August 2023.
He has two children: a 17-year-old son named Sasha and a 16-year-old daughter, Kai, who came out as transgender earlier this year. He and his ex-partner, Naomi, 57, were together for 11 years before separating in September 2016.
