Activision is bringing a new game mode called DMZ: Recon to Call of Duty: Mobile on December 12th. This tactical extraction mode, first shown at Call of Duty NEXT in September, will let players experience a new way to play the popular battle royale on their phones and tablets.

Experience high-stakes extraction gameplay with the new mode

Call of Duty Mobile players are in for a treat with the new DMZ: Recon mode! It offers a thrilling, tactical experience where you try to survive and escape with loot on the brand-new Serpent Island map. You’ll complete missions, battle other players and AI enemies, and then try to extract valuable items to improve your gear with each successful escape.

Alright team, get hyped! I’m so ready to drop into CODM’s new DMZ mode, Recon! It’s launching December 11th at midnight PT – time to fight, grab loot, and get out while we can! 🚁

DMZ: Recon is inspired by the popular DMZ mode featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone. If you’ve played DMZ before, you already know how enjoyable it is. Even though COD Warzone Mobile ended on May 18th, you can now play a similar experience within CODM.

The new game mode combines player-versus-player combat, cooperative play against enemies, and the thrill of escaping with valuable items. Players venture onto the Serpent Island map to complete objectives and collect loot, but they must successfully escape to keep what they’ve found. It’s a high-stakes experience because dying means losing everything, leading to fierce competition.

The new trailer looks fantastic, and it seems like Call of Duty Mobile is doing everything right. I’m really excited for the December 12th release – it reminds me of the fun I had playing Warzone with friends during the pandemic, and I can’t wait to experience that same feeling on my phone.
