On Thursday night, many of Australia’s leading women gathered at Dawes Point in Sydney for the Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards.
Although glamorous red carpet photos were all over social media, not every candid picture of the stars was shared.
As a lifestyle observer, I’ve noticed Brittany Higgins and Grace Tame seemed to maintain a distance from each other recently. It’s been a while since they first captured public attention, and there’s always been a sense their friendship wasn’t as close as some might think.
In June 2023, people started noticing a possible falling out between Grace and Brittany after Grace removed all photos of Brittany from her Instagram account.
The removal of posts included instances where she called the former staffer a ‘national hero,’ a ‘warrior,’ and ‘my friend’.
Even though they talked inside, photos taken upon their arrival showed they still avoided being near each other.

Despite recently filing for bankruptcy, Brittany and her husband, David Sharaz, seemed cheerful and positive while enjoying a night out together.
She wore a stunning red dress, borrowed from designer Rebecca Vallance and valued at over a thousand dollars, and styled her hair in a sleek, low bun.
I noticed David kept things timeless and elegant with a classic black suit – a perfect choice, especially while he was so attentive, grabbing a drink for his wife! It’s always nice to see a man who understands the power of a simple, well-fitted suit and still manages to be a gracious partner.
Pip Edwards looked a little uncomfortable standing by herself while waiting for the black carpet to clear.
P.E Nation’s founder, 45, seemed deep in thought as she relaxed, wearing a top that looked like it was from Maticevski and reminiscent of 80s fashion.
Pip wore a flowy red top with fitted black pants, completing the look with Christian Louboutin heels and a stylish handbag.
Pia Whitesell was also caught waiting all by herself to take photos.
The 42-year-old actress flew in from her luxurious home in Los Angeles, which she shares with her husband, Patrick Whitesell, to be at the yearly event.

She wore a beautiful, classic black dress with a high slit and chatted with people while waiting to have her picture taken before going into the event.
The Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards recognize and honor Australian women who are making a significant impact and leading the way in their fields.
The ceremony honors Australians who have demonstrated courage, dedication, and innovation.
Rose Byrne was named Icon of the Year at the awards, while Kitty Flanagan took home the title of Entertainer and Camilla Freeman-Topper was crowned The Designer.
