Deadpool is returning to Disneyland’s California Adventure park this holiday season! He’ll be hosting “The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special,” but keep in mind his show might not be suitable for younger children.
Disneyland Deadpool For The Holidays
Disney announced the news on their Parks Blog on October 30, 2025, as part of a larger reveal of holiday experiences at Disneyland.

Deadpool is returning to Disneyland Resort this holiday season after a popular debut last year! He’ll be sharing funny, festive stories during ‘The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special’ near Avengers Campus. Keep an eye out – Wolverine might even make a surprise appearance at some of the shows!
Disneyland’s holiday celebrations will also feature appearances by fan-favorite characters like Mirabel from Encanto, Miguel from Coco, Carl, Dug, and Russell from Up, plus a visit from Santa Claus!
Not the First Deadpool Disneyland Rodeo
Deadpool first appeared at Disney’s California Adventure park at the Disneyland Resort in July 2024.
Alongside Wolverine, Deadpool appeared in a show called “Story Time with Deadpool” located near the Avengers Campus at the park. This appearance happened at the same time as the release of the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, which was a huge success for Disney/Marvel, earning over $1.3 billion worldwide.

Deadpool is hilariously suggesting Robert Downey Jr. should play Doctor Doom, and it’s absolutely brilliant! 😂

Deadpool & Wolverine first premiered on July 26, 2024, and played through November. A special holiday edition then ran from November 15, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
Disneyland Deadpool is Fun For Adults But Questionable For Kids
During a preview event where adults enjoyed jokes from the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie, some questioned whether the film’s content was suitable for Disney Parks, which are generally known as family-friendly. The movie has earned an ‘R’ rating, and that’s understandable given its mature themes.

While toned down to a more ‘PG13’ level for the California Adventure show, Deadpool’s jokes were still replete with innuendo that some parents might find objectionable for their children. Even if not stopping to actually watch the show, it took place in an outdoor area where casual passersby were easily within earshot of the less-than-family-appropriate humor.
Former Hollywood actress Tina Griffin made not of this on her X account.
🚩This is horrible for children!!!
A show called ‘Story Time with Deadpool’ is playing at Disney California Adventure, but it’s definitely not for kids. It includes strong language, explicit sexual references, and jokes about drug use.

She criticized the show, called “Story Time with Deadpool,” stating it’s completely inappropriate for children. Despite being shown on Disney’s platform, it contains excessive swearing, explicit sexual references, and jokes about drug use.
The post seems to be about the movie Deadpool, not the story time show. However, the author’s worry about this character being featured at Disney Parks is still worth mentioning.

A common worry for parents is that if young children meet a Disney character in a park, they’ll then want to watch the movie or show that character comes from. This could lead to difficult conversations about why they’re too young for certain content, and even worse, a parent unaware of a character’s mature themes might accidentally let their child watch something inappropriate like Deadpool & Wolverine on Disney+, which could have harmful consequences.
Deadpool at Disneyland: Watch at Your Own Discretion
As a huge cinema fan, I’m thrilled to share that Deadpool – that hilariously irreverent Marvel character – is bringing his unique brand of holiday cheer to Disney California Adventure! Starting November 14th, 2025, and running through January 7th, 2026, you’ll be able to experience his take on the most wonderful time of the year. I can’t wait!
Those who like this character will be happy to see him back at the park. However, parents should be aware that some of his jokes or stories might not be suitable for young children, so please use your best judgment.

When searching for Santa Claus, double-check you’ve found the right person – and not Deadpool dressed in a red suit!
