Kevin Spacey says he has ‘no home’ after sexual assault allegations: ‘The costs … have been astronomical’

Following numerous accusations of sexual misconduct, Kevin Spacey is said to be experiencing homelessness.

I was really surprised to read that Kevin Spacey is currently having a tough time financially. In a recent interview, he shared that things aren’t going great for him right now, and he’s been staying in hotels and Airbnbs wherever he can find work. It’s a far cry from the success he once enjoyed, and I genuinely feel for him.

“I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain,” Spacey said.

The actor, a former resident of Baltimore, explained that he had to give up his house due to rapidly increasing costs over the past seven years.

Spacey explained he’s been spending more than he’s earning recently. However, he’s optimistic and feels like he’s returning to his roots, focusing on finding work wherever it’s available. He’s currently storing his belongings and hopes to eventually find a permanent home as his situation improves.

Kevin Spacey’s career quickly declined in 2017 when actor Anthony Rapp publicly accused him of making unwanted sexual advances in the 1980s, when Rapp was a teenager. Over 30 other men subsequently came forward with similar accusations of sexual misconduct or assault. Spacey has consistently denied all claims, and the legal cases resulting from these accusations were ultimately dropped, dismissed, or resulted in him being found not guilty.

In a 2024 interview with Piers Morgan, Spacey discussed his financial difficulties. He admitted he couldn’t pay his bills and had thought about declaring bankruptcy, but had so far avoided it. He also shared that his home in Baltimore was at risk of being foreclosed and would be sold at auction.

The actor has been trying to revive his career. He returned to acting in 2021 with a role in a small, independent Italian film – his first job since accusations of misconduct surfaced. Since then, he’s also taken on other acting roles, including performances on stage.

While Spacey has yet to return to Hollywood, he remains hopeful about his future.

He told the Telegraph that influential people are working to help him return to his career, and he expects this to happen eventually. He also believes the industry is waiting for a respected and authoritative figure to give the go-ahead for something to happen.
