Bobby Brazier has offered a peek into his personal growth since leaving his career in entertainment to start a new life in India.
After leaving EastEnders earlier this year, 22-year-old actor has been exploring the Hare Krishna religion. He found solace in the faith following difficulties in his relationship with his father, Jeff, and brother, Freddie.
Bobby appears to have reconciled with his father and is now sharing how his recent spiritual journey has affected him. He posted a video on Instagram showing himself and many others participating in a traditional dance.
In the video, Bobby danced with monks Indradyumna Swami and Sacinandana Swami in a joyful performance.
You know, looking back on my path lately, discovering Hare Krishna has been truly incredible. But I’m not closing the door on my acting career just yet! I still have a real hope to get back in front of the camera someday. It’s about finding a balance, really – integrating my spiritual growth with the passions I’ve always had.
Although the celebrity previously wowed audiences with his dancing on Strictly Come Dancing, his father, Jeff, playfully teased his performance with a humorous remark.

He shared a post reflecting on a special experience. He wrote that even after everything he’s seen, he can’t imagine things getting any better than this moment. He mentioned that Indradyumnaswami, who has been chanting for over 50 years, believes the best is yet to come.
True happiness comes from connecting with others who deeply love and worship God. Chanting and dancing with devoted people like @sacinandanaswamiofficial provides a joy that can’t be found in material possessions or worldly experiences. It’s a connection to something far beyond the physical world, rooted in love for the divine.
I don’t feel a strong connection to devotion on my own, but through the kindness of those who chant the holy name, I get a glimpse of their love for God. I hope that feeling stays with me – it’s truly incredible.
‘Don’t worry back on the telly soon… if anyone gives me a job.’
Bobby’s dad, Jeff, jokingly replied to a video of his son dancing, saying he used to move the same way when he listened to garage music.
The Daily Mail reported that Bobby sought help from a Hindu faith-based organization after his relationship with his brother, Freddy, and their father, Jeff, became difficult.
Now that the family has resolved their differences, Bobby intends to move shortly after finishing his role on the BBC soap opera later this year.
According to a source, Bobby is thrilled about his upcoming move to India. He’s been enthusiastically sharing the news and explaining his strong faith in Hare Krishna to everyone he knows.

He’s a genuinely good person, and everyone acknowledges that. However, people are a bit surprised he’s leaving his career now, especially since he’s currently doing so well.
He anticipates staying there for quite some time – at least a year – and hopes to restart his career when he returns.
As someone who explores different paths to wellbeing, I’ve been really moved by seeing people connect with spirituality in authentic ways. I recently came across a post from Bobby sharing his personal experience with chanting the Hare Krsna mantra, and he simply expressed how good it made him feel – straight from the heart! It’s a lovely reminder that finding peace can be as simple as a heartfelt practice.
It was reported that Jeff and his son, Bobby, experienced a strained relationship for a while, leading Bobby to move out of his father’s house in Essex and into his own apartment in Soho, close to the Hare Krishna temple.
Someone close to the family shared that Bobby has always been interested in spirituality, but this feels like a deliberate choice. It seems he’s intentionally stepping away from all the conflict and negativity.
Freddy expresses his defiance openly through things like drugs, public arguments, and even legal disputes involving his grandmother. Bobby, on the other hand, rebels in a more subtle way. However, his quiet rebellion is actually just as strong.
‘He’s turning his back on the life his Dad created for them in Essex and following his own path.’
While living in Soho, Bobby immersed himself in the movement at the Hare Krishna HQ.
He’s been deeply involved in daily spiritual practices, including chanting, cooking for the community, and embracing the religion’s calm and peaceful way of life.
People close to him maintain that his devotion to Hare Krishna is genuine and long-lasting. One volunteer explained, ‘He comes every Saturday, always. He helps in the kitchen and learns the chants – it’s clear this is a sincere practice, not just a passing phase.’
Last August, Bobby was seen talking with other visitors at the temple’s vegan cafe and saying a prayer over his meal before eating, to bless and purify it.

Lately, I’ve noticed a really lovely side to this actor – he’s been seen joining Hare Krishna devotees here in the city! It’s so heartwarming to see him laughing and dancing with them, and honestly, those joyful moments have been all over social media. It’s wonderful to see someone embracing joy and community like that.
Bobby previously shared how embracing Hare Krishna had transformed his perspective. He described a long search for happiness, love, understanding, peace, and a sense of fulfillment.
He shared with his fans that his connection with God led him to discover what truly makes him happy, and he thanked fellow believers he’d met along the way for their support.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always believed in sharing authentic moments, and recently, Bobby did just that on Instagram. Back in August 2023, he posted a video explaining he felt compelled to speak out after something had happened to him – he really wanted to share his experience with everyone.
I noticed a person standing outside the temple both when I entered and when I left. They commented that I looked much happier coming out than I did going in, and it really struck me as true.
This has just got me reflecting on things. Those who know me well will realize I’ve gone through many different stages, all in pursuit of what we all want: happiness, love, understanding, and inner peace.
‘And the place in which I found what I’m looking for is in my relationship with God.’
He admitted he wasn’t perfect and still makes mistakes, but he’s working on becoming more dedicated to his faith.
He went on to say he didn’t want to seem like a particularly religious or perfect person. He admitted he wasn’t, and that he was flawed, but he was genuinely trying to improve.
I’m easily tricked and often make mistakes. However, I’m self-aware enough to know the difference between things that genuinely bring me joy and those that only seem good at first, but ultimately leave me feeling unhappy.
I’ve been fortunate to meet some truly wonderful people who have guided and supported me with kindness and compassion. They’re genuinely happy, peaceful, and inspiring individuals.
In essence, he stated he understands what brings him joy and what doesn’t.
My connection with God is the most important thing in my life – everything I’ve ever wanted and everything I’ll ever need. It’s the foundation of my being, and I find fulfillment in nothing else.
Bobby experienced a heartbreaking childhood when his mother, Jade Goody, passed away from cervical cancer in 2009. He was only five years old at the time, and his brother Freddy was four.
Jeff, the boys’ father, wanted them to have a private childhood while they were growing up in Essex. They later moved to Brighton and attended private school there.
Bobby had a difficult time adjusting and was eventually suspended. Luckily, a casting agent happened to notice his potential and offered him work.
Bobby recalled his difficult time in school, explaining that he felt out of place because he didn’t come from the same wealthy background as most of the other students, whose families had been rich for many generations.
‘I’ve got insight from both ends of the spectrum, so I felt like I was a bit of a black sheep.’
As a lifestyle expert, I saw a real turning point for Bobby in 2023 when he joined Strictly Come Dancing! Being paired with the wonderful Dianne Buswell really launched him to a whole new level of recognition. It was fantastic to watch his star rise!
He received a lot of positive feedback and support from fans, especially for his emotional dance dedicated to his mother, Jade. Ultimately, he came in second place to Ellie Leach.
You know, I was chatting with someone who worked closely with Bobby back when he was on that dancing show, and they told me he really believed his success came from his dedication to Hare Krishna. He felt his faith was a huge part of his performance and helped him stay focused and positive throughout the competition.
According to a report in The Sun’s TVBiz column, Bobby credits his success on the show to his Hare Krishna faith, which helps him stay calm, centered, and focused.
His current image as a popular, charismatic figure on the show is quite different from the traditional appearance we expect from those who follow this path.
Bobby is just one of many artists who have found inspiration in the Hare Krishna tradition.
