Michelle Keegan braved freezing temperatures—including a -12°C Arctic blast and an amber snow warning—while filming ‘The Blame’ in Hertfordshire on Wednesday, doing her best to stay warm.
The 38-year-old actress filmed her scenes outdoors despite the cold weather, staying warm in a large, fleece-lined windbreaker from Regatta.
Michelle was sitting on a park bench with a co-star, wearing a coat over a leather jacket and grey sweater.
Michelle, who stars as DI Emma Crane, finished her outfit with black tailored trousers and black leather heeled boots.
The new mom, a former soap opera actress, had a baby daughter, Palma, with her husband Mark Wright in March. She took her jacket off during filming but put on extra layers while her makeup was being done.
“The Blame” is inspired by Charlotte Langley’s first novel, also titled “The Blame.” The story begins when the body of a young figure skater is found, deeply unsettling the town of Wakestead.

This show explores the hidden secrets, growing mistrust, and widespread corruption lurking beneath the calm exterior of a small town.
Okay, so it all started with Sophie Madsen. She was this amazing figure skater, a total star, and then… they found her body. It completely rocked Wakestead, I mean, everyone was talking about it. It was awful, and honestly, that’s when everything changed. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, about her, about what happened… it just felt so wrong.
As detectives Crane and Radley investigate, a simple tragedy quickly becomes a complex case filled with deception, hidden secrets within the system, and difficult choices.
With time running out and relationships breaking down, Detective Crane finds herself juggling a murder case and the difficult, backstabbing dynamics within her team.
Nigel Boyle will join Michelle and Douglas in the cast, playing the role of Brett Shergill, a forensic technician.
Joe Armstrong, known for his role in Fool Me Once with Michelle Keegan, will play an ice-skating coach named Kyle Fraiser in the new series Robin Hood.
I’m so excited to see the cast! They’ve got some fantastic actors joining, including Ian Hart, who I loved in The Last Kingdom, Nathan Mensah, Matilda Freeman from Passenger, Gavin Spokes who was brilliant in House of the Dragon, Josh Bolt who I always enjoy in Last Tango in Halifax, and Ceallach Spellman, who really stood out in White Lines. It’s going to be a great show!
Polly Hill, ITV’s Head of Drama, has ordered a new six-episode series. The show is written and executive produced by Megan Gallagher, who also created ‘All Her Fault’ and ‘Wolf’.

We don’t have official cast photos or a release date for The Blame yet, but they are expected to be announced in 2026.
Michelle faced freezing conditions as parts of Britain were hit by blizzards, with an amber weather warning in place and temperatures dropping to -12C.
Rain, sleet, and snow continued to fall along UK coasts this morning, potentially causing travel problems and power outages in the hardest-hit areas.
Michelle is filming in Hertfordshire, where it snowed overnight and temperatures fell to freezing. The temperature is only expected to reach 3 degrees Celsius by 1 pm today.
High areas of the North York Moors and nearby locations could receive up to 10 inches (25cm) of snow. An amber weather warning is still in effect for this area until 9pm tonight.
The Met Office had five yellow warnings for snow and ice in effect until midnight, covering coastal areas of northeast England, as well as Cornwall, Devon, and western Wales.
