Vin Diesel won’t be pursued with the sexual battery lawsuit filed by a former assistant in Los Angeles two years ago.
A judge in Los Angeles County Superior Court threw out the lawsuit filed by Diesel’s accuser, Asta Jonasson, due to a minor legal issue.
I was shocked to read about the allegations against Vin Diesel. According to a lawsuit filed in December 2023, a woman named Jonasson claims she worked as his assistant on the set of “Fast Five” back in 2010 while they were filming in Atlanta. She alleges that he sexually assaulted her in his hotel room at that time, and it’s just a really disturbing story.
The lawsuit included ten accusations, such as sexual battery and retaliation, as well as several violations of California’s employment and housing laws. The complaint also named Diesel’s production company, One Race Films, and its president, Samantha Vincent – who is Diesel’s sister – as defendants.

Vin Diesel, known for his role in the ‘Fast & Furious’ films, has refuted claims of sexual battery and assault made by a former assistant who alleged the incidents occurred in 2010.
In his ruling, Judge Daniel M. Crowley rejected Jonasson’s argument, calling it flawed and not in line with Georgia law. He also explained that because the alleged sexual assault occurred in Georgia, the case should have been filed there, not in California.
Crowley said that California law could not be “applied to any of Plaintiff’s claims.”
The trial had been scheduled for February, but that changed with Wednesday’s ruling. According to Matthew T. Hale, Jonasson’s lawyer, the court’s decision didn’t address whether or not Jonasson’s claims were true.
According to Hale, the decision hinged on a minor legal detail. They don’t agree with it and are now considering what to do next.

Five months after the shooting in San Antonio, the man accused of killing actor Jonathan Joss, known for his role in ‘King of the Hill,’ has been formally charged with murder.
Diesel’s lawyer didn’t respond to a request for comment as of Wednesday.
In a legal complaint, Jonasson claims that Diesel sexually assaulted her in a hotel room, specifically alleging he groped her, pressed her against a wall, and touched his genitals without her permission. Diesel, 58, quickly denied these accusations through his lawyer, Bryan Freedman, after the complaint was filed.
According to Freedman, this is the first time he’s been made aware of the claim, which dates back over 13 years and was reportedly made by someone who only worked there for nine days. He states there’s strong proof that completely disproves these extreme accusations.
