Adam Peaty has publicly addressed the difficult family issues that have been causing problems as he prepares to marry Holly Ramsay.

The Olympic swimmer used Instagram on Wednesday to share that there’s ‘more to the story’ and expressed confidence that he and Holly will overcome their current ‘difficulties’ together.

As many of you know, I’m constantly working on becoming a better person and making a positive impact on the world.

Holly and Adam have reportedly forbidden Adam’s mother from attending their wedding. This follows a significant family disagreement stemming from Holly’s decision not to include her future mother-in-law in her bachelorette party.

Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, a popular social media personality, celebrated her upcoming wedding with a party at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse. Guests included her mother, Tana Ramsay, along with family friend Victoria Beckham and her future brother-in-law’s sister.

Someone familiar with Adam’s family said the problem started after the swimmer grew apart from his mother. They believe he became caught up in the lifestyle of the wealthy Ramsay family and let it affect his relationship with her.

After the issue became public, Adam’s aunt, Louise, publicly criticized him and his fiancée, Holly, on Instagram. She also explained why Adam’s mother hadn’t been invited to Holly’s bachelorette party.

Oh my god, it’s gotten SO much worse! Adam’s basically hiding out at his father-in-law Gordon’s place. Everything blew up when his brother, James, got arrested! Apparently, he was sending awful, threatening messages to Peaty while Peaty was having his stag do in Budapest. It’s a complete disaster, and I’m just worried sick about everyone involved!

Police questioned Peaty’s brother, James—a builder—for two days before letting him go with a conditional bail agreement.

According to a family member who spoke with the Daily Mail, the brothers have always been very close. Jamie, a builder by trade, even assisted Adam with remodeling his home.

I’m really worried about James right now. He’s facing a possible charge, and it’s just awful for his parents. They were so excited about his wedding, and now they’ve been uninvited and banned from attending – it must be devastating for them.

Tom Pidcock, nicknamed ‘Peaty’, apparently received a large police escort when he returned to Manchester airport on Sunday night after celebrating his bachelor party.

Staffordshire Police confirmed to the Daily Mail that a 34-year-old man from the Uttoxeter area was arrested on November 11, 2025, and is suspected of harassment.

‘The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.’

The family claims the couple hurtfully criticized the appearance of his mother, and she wasn’t invited to the wedding because they didn’t think she ‘looked the part’.
