ABC won’t be airing a new episode of Shifting Gears on November 16th because the show is currently on a short break. The comedy returned from its summer hiatus in October and has aired six episodes so far this season. However, ABC recently replaced its usual primetime shows with special programming, and that schedule continues through this week.
On November 19th, ABC will broadcast the 59th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Lainey Wilson. The show starts at 8 PM Eastern Time and runs until 10:30 PM, taking the usual time slot for the show Shifting Gears. Next week, November 26th, Shifting Gears will not air a new episode and instead will show a repeat of a previous episode for one hour.
When Is Shifting Gears Coming Back & What To Expect From Season 2, Episode 7

The most recent episode of Shifting Gears season 2, titled “Loyalty,” featured a conflict between Matt and their longtime mechanic, Stitch. Meanwhile, Riley faced problems at the coffee shop after attempting to bring on her son, Carter, as an employee, which didn’t go as planned.
It’s hard to know what will happen next with the characters in Shifting Gears, since the show relies heavily on unfolding storylines. Although sources like Rotten Tomatoes suggest episode 7 of season 2 will be called “License,” there’s no information available about what the episode will be about. This is likely because the show isn’t scheduled to return for a few weeks.
According to its official Rotten Tomatoes page, season 2 of Shifting Gears is expected to return with new episodes on December 13th. However, it’s best to wait for an official announcement from ABC to confirm. In the meantime, all episodes are currently available to stream on Hulu.
